The 12 principles of animation... Not sure why I haven't covered these until now, but here we are! This mini-series was a lot of fun to put together. Hope you enjoy it, and maybe learn a thing or two along the way.
Special thanks to Animate With Alex for voicing all the animation quotes in this series (channel pending)!

Every animator and aspiring animator needs to watch this video. And more importantly, read the original book. Studying and following through (haha, I made a pun) with these principals will help tremendously. I'd like to add a little personal 13th principal. Have fun! If you aren't having fun with what you're doing, everything you're reading about and practicing will be meaningless and you won't get the full experience out of it.
no! they need to download it on their phone and listen it every day!
i have a question.. What is your reflection in that video or what have you learned?
i agree!! we watched this on our animation training, the 12 principles is condensed very well and inspiring too!! and i agree as well to HAVE FUN!! animation isn't animation without having fun!!
Such an enlightening video! Learnt soo much. Glad I watched
This video really speaks volumes about ur ability to make a complete guide and history delving into whatever :)
Thanks so much! I really enjoy making this type of content :)
39:25 'The reason why us animators have jobs that cannot be taken over by computers.' The way i cheered😆😆 even if it did we can always tell, computers cannot feel emotion.
This must have taken ages! Great video
Thanks! It certainly took a while haha
Thanks so much this helped me so much with my collage work.
This is a great series, especially in terms of breaking down each of the mentalities behind the principles.
This video has only 3000 Views!?!?! Needs More!
Thanks so much!
This was awesome to watch!
They never explain these things to you. They just tell you. Thank you
Nice work. Thanks!
The begunning principles are simple and I can act on them in FlipaClip. The later ones are more ambitious and abstract.
Some background had vg ost.

References ohhhh
im just starting to learn animation, should i do 24 fps or 12 fps?
24fps is probably your best bet since it's the tv standard. If you're looking to animate for games you may need to switch to 30 at some point, but 24 is Maya's default so I'd stick with that for now!
who's voice is that that man voice...why is he so familiar???
I try to animate using flipaclip , thanks u jajajajaj
Good luck!
Canadian I assume lol 😂
