Dude..I’m a guy in my 40’s and I’m an unapologetic billie eilish superfan. Seen her live 3 times over the past 3 years. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve sobbed to her songs. Especially “I love you.” That one is so painfully beautiful. Just like “the greatest.” You really should hear the album version if you haven’t already.
I'm 41 and a recent fan of Billie Eilish. Hit Me Hard and Soft converted me. It's an incredible album. It was my AOTY until Aurora released her album. But it's definitely #2 for me.
I found out that Aurora is the artist that inspired Billie to start making music, and I'm a HUGE Aurora fan, so I decided to sit down and listen to the most recent album. My mind was honestly blown. I've been waiting for these pure vocals. So many performances are heavily post processed and she doesn't need the help. He voice is immaculate. And Finneas is a genius.
Great Billie reaction. For more great live Billie, check out her Amazon Music Song line sessions featuring her friends singing harmonies with her, four songs off her new album, Hit me Hard and Soft, including Skinny featuring the Attacca String Quartet. Also, check out the full production live version of The Greatest on Stephen Colbert, then do her whole album, then all her music videos. We''ll be watching.
The Greatest also makes me cry every time. I highly recommend the version on Stephen Colbert - its similar but more belt-y and might be my favorite live performance of the year.
I can so relate to your reaction. I was caught off guard with this amazing and honest performance. The chorus in the second song when she says " So you found her...." is a definite moment.
Enjoyed ur real reaction. Great! Big fan here. You should check out this new album, she created it as full listen, esp hear 'The Greatest' which shows her studio range, it's her fav on the album. She was 13yo for Ocean Eyes, then came her EP, then came 3 albums. She and her brother have 19 Grammys, 4 Oscars. She's 22 now. Check out the video she directed for 'What Was I Made for', the song won both a Grammy and an Oscar in 2024. Do more Billie!
just found you and subscribed immediately!! love your honest, raw reactions. MORE BILLIE! please do her songline performances from amazon music. one of the best things to come out of this year music wise. especially the wildflower performance.
You picked a phenomenal set to start your channel out on. Three of these songs are from her album she released in May of this year. I truly think it's her best album. The emotions get to this 52 year old woman every time I listen to it. I got to see her in concert a month ago in Denver and she puts on such an amazing show! Might I suggest also listening to her live version of the Greatest on the Stephen Colbert show, the Amazon Songline set of 5 and then Apple Music just started releasing live versions of the set she did when they awarded Billie and Finneas with Artist of the Year this week. I'll definitely be following along with your reactions.
Andrew has been performing with them since really early on. It has been basically always Finneas and Andrew with her on stage, only starting with this tour has she started to have a band and a couple of singers as well, and they worked with a string quartet, as people have mentioned can be seen in the amazing performance from the Amazon song line (especially Wildflower is an absolute treat).
ouuuuu would love your you to react to her whole amazon song line set (wildflower, lamour de ma vie, birds of a feather, skinny) and her whole hit me hard and soft album + music videos :)))
I saw her live in Portland about 2 weeks ago. Even in an arena setting with the fans singing along, she was fantastic. For her only being 23, I’m just amazed with her talent. Not just singing, but she’s a natural up there and knows how to keep the crowd going for the full 90 minutes that she was up there.
Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell and Finneas Baird O’Connell. Billie uses her 1st middle name as her professional name. FINNEAS goes by his 1st name professionally. She was 13 years old when she put Ocean Eyes on sound cloud.
So glad you have the confidence to post this video. I honestly not the biggest fan of her but did regonize her insane talent and knew she actually has an amazing voice. This recording was just like everything I've wanted from her. Maybe needs a little more production in the instumentals to fill out the sound more but She has a truly angelic voice in the sense that it is like an extension of her emotions. Nice of her to finally showcase that.
It would make life a little easier and I thank you for the suggestion. The thing is, I would feel hypocritical using an ad-blocker while participating in the You-Tube ecosystem as a creator - but I pledge to pay for premium if the channel gets big enough for monetization, so please be patient with my commercial interruptions for now. :)
Dude you’ve been missing ooooooout. She was actually 13 when ocean eyes came out. Which was on her EP, don’t smile at me. You need to listen to her three (yes three) albums since. And the EPs and singles also. Trust me. It’s so worth it
Great stuff. I was blown away by Billie when her first album came out and saw a documentary about her and her family. A true musical talent. Congrats on your new channel. There is a wealth of gems in the Tiny design concerts - may I recommend others? 1. Tems (her latest one from 6/3/2024). Tems is a Nigerian singer, I can't easily classify her but it feels like a mash-up between reggae, modern/smooth r&b, and African/world music. Her voice and phrasing is so unique and soothing to the soul...she hits me right in the heart. Her band is incredible too. ua-cam.com/video/YleSYAEYdrg/v-deo.htmlsi=D8xc6Tp48rKSJiMr *Note - she also did one back in 2021 which is also AWESOME: ua-cam.com/video/yXI7NP7TDCw/v-deo.htmlsi=7tyg7HkTqZJBitk6 2. Raye - 4/12/2024 - An incredible new-ish artist. She is both a throwback to old 40's jazz singers AND a totally hip, modern and one-of-a-kind talent. She does incredibly powerful live performances in large settings with big bands, orchestras, etc and she's a mesmerizing, "grand" performer. Her Tiny Desk concert shows a more intimate side of her that we don't normally see. She is the REAL DEAL. ua-cam.com/video/DL1zyUjzwno/v-deo.htmlsi=hYbjUjlnhLi6hT40 3. Jacob Collier - 7/22/2019 - Where do I begin with Jacob. I'll just say he is the greatest musical mind and talent alive today. A true musical genius, and he just turned 30 years old this year. I highly recommend going down the full rabbit hole of his UA-cam channel. He is mind boggling, and has complete mastery of music theory, the playing of many instruments, and often uses interesting/complex harmonies to basically make you feel any emotion he wants you to feel. He's also a brilliant philosopher, which you will see if you watch any of his lectures or other speaking engagements (many on UA-cam). ua-cam.com/video/vPBirt1YhuM/v-deo.htmlsi=EH7vuRbHOVOoTn1E *Note, he also did a Tiny Desk - home version during covid where he played all the instruments and sang all harmonies in this amazingly clever video - the logistics of how he created this video is insane in and of itself: ua-cam.com/video/mJR6XSSKi-g/v-deo.htmlsi=_BYl80LyPPTTFnFx Hope you dig into some of these! I subscribed to follow along your journey :-)

I feel like I am in good company then. Thank you.

@@TheReactualTruthYep 39 year old over here she just hits a very specific spot
53 and so looking forward to my 13th July show
Only Everytime She talking about politics and Can't listen to her songs for a week
These two kids are the best that has happened to music in DECADES. Pure, unadulterated talent.
Well said.
Her latest album “hit me hard and soft” came out May 17th and you really should give it a listen if you haven’t. It’s brilliant.
It just doesn't seem possible that it isn't brilliant.

I love that you had this road map of Billie appreciation ready to go.
Its a definite have to see..this newest Billie stuff is anazing ❤
She actually released ocean eyes when she was 13 so she literally started being famous at 13! She was a literal baby I feel so bad
The Greatest also makes me cry every time. I highly recommend the version on Stephen Colbert - its similar but more belt-y and might be my favorite live performance of the year.
That performance is so goooooooood! The little subtle differences are also so special to me.
She lives in the subtleties.
I can so relate to your reaction. I was caught off guard with this amazing and honest performance. The chorus in the second song when she says " So you found her...." is a definite moment.
exactly.

@@TheReactualTruthBut did you actually take in the info? Two Oscars. The amount of Grammys. She’s 22. It’s insane that it’s actually deserved too

I see that happening sometime soon. So many people are saying that.

Thier last names are O'connel. Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'connel is her full name. Still very Irish.
Ooooohhh. Thank you for letting me know.

she' so good! i felt the same way. thank you for your video!
Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell and Finneas Baird O’Connell. Billie uses her 1st middle name as her professional name. FINNEAS goes by his 1st name professionally. She was 13 years old when she put Ocean Eyes on sound cloud.
Facts! Facts that I am happy to have. Thank you.
I'll give Billie a lot of credit. She's trained up her voice. There was a time when she wasn't nearly this good live.
I was impressed.
So glad you have the confidence to post this video. I honestly not the biggest fan of her but did regonize her insane talent and knew she actually has an amazing voice. You aren't wrong. They were, oddly, a significant factor in my viewing experience.
✨✨✨✨✨✨ amazing reaction
Thank you. Billie's talent was undeniable.
Not sure if you know..but Billie’s full name?
Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell.
Now I know!
We need a full album reaction for happier than ever or hit me hard and soft (or When we all fall asleep, where do we go) 👀
I don't know if I am emotionally ready for a full album😅
we need an album reaction
I'm really looking forward to seeing more from her. I'll come back to here soon.
