    Ey up Tunners!
    Ooh, 1440p! ❤
For me personally it depends on just how bad the port is and whether you played it when it came out or not. I think if you played ports when they were contemporary, it's more likely you'll enjoy them. Also, it depends on if you played the original as well.
On ports in general, Ridge Racer on the PS1 was arcade perfect to me at the time. Having played it on MAME in more recent years, it's half the resolution (kind of) and half the frame rate of the arcade version, but I have such fond memories of that version that it doesn't matter to me. I didn't have much exposure to the arcade version growing up.
Time Crisis on the other hand, I played a lot in the arcade and so I'm not a huge fan of the PS1 version.
Hope you're doing well buddy, and a great video as usual!

Thank you! I'm such a stingy bastard I couldn't bring myself to just use the RT4K in 1080p mode lmao. Yeah I do think it depends a lot on which one you grew up with, even with stuff like Street Fighter II! I remember being wowed by how much more detail was in the arcade version. Same for Tekken 3!

@@tunnotron3000 I thought Tekken 3 was mostly the same apart from 3D backgrounds in the arcade version? It has been a while since I looked at it though I guess.

I think there were the 3D backgrounds as well as a few more polygons in the models themselves. I've not seen a Tekken 3 arcade cabinet in decades but the emulated version on the Tekken 5 disc looks to play at true 480i as opposed to the fake upscale on the PS1 version. Not sure if the actual arcade cabinet itself ran at true 480i though.
