- Genshin Impact has a new ENDGAME Mode! The "Imaginarium Theater" will give you tons of FREE Primogems, Mora and rare materials.
So in this Genshin Impact Guide, I am going to tell you everything you need to know about the Imaginarium Theater: How to unlock it, how it works and what you have to do to get the rewards.
But not just that, I'm also going to give you valuable Tips on how to make this new Endgame Mods super easy.

I think the best thing here is to just make some half baked builds here but therefore a lot of them. I think 4* Artifacts with fitting main stats (while ignoring substats) plus 4* weapon should be enough if you have that on every character that you use ^^
If you have many build characters it's not gonna be that hard maybe 🤔 ma
The biggest issue for me is it feels restricting af. Like yes I could invest in my new Sethos, but am I really gonna do that for a few extra primos? I can clear abyss but not theatre 💀

All y'all are d-riding the hell out of Genshin. This is nice to have but it's ass in terms of how it does yes force you to have many characters in which you get by playing for fucking years and years or you buy with money. 2nd of all the mode is hard yes however the mechanics of the difficulty is bullshit. The enemies basically have supped up damage and have mechanics that feel cheesey as hell. They could improve this by adding more trial characters or maybe allow you to take more characters from multiple friends which idk maybe will make having friends useful and encouraged?
No one is forcing you to do anything. It's 5 wishes every month.
The people who C6 a single character by waiting 2 years are cooked
I really wish they let you use 1 or 2 characters per run instead of forcing 4. It's making you use up vigor even though you won't be swapping to certain characters anyway.
seems that devs did it on purpose to make a new feel after the spiral abyss. But anyway i agree it's rly annoying. I feel limited to work around in the way i like more

Just some crumbs for us to shut up , and took the 2 resets from the abyss to not give us move primo , as expected of the shitty company, with one hand they give , and with another they will take from you
Wurthering Waves has been the best thing to happen in genshin since launch!! So many great updates like removing the boss cooldown, adding more artifacts to the crafting table, and this!!
The team building is my favorite part so it's incredible you get to try out units before you wish for them!! Half the time the teams in my head don't work and the ones I think won't do well, do amazingly.
We'll get to use old characters we built a long time ago but don't fit into current teams like my Tartaglia and c5 Sayu. It gives us more of a reason to build filler characters!! Like I have a c6 Rosaria that I would never use if it weren't for this new mode. I felt guilty for having so many 4 star characters with high constellations but I can ACTUALLY USE THEM NOW. It's a total game changer!!!
tbh i don't really get why they added RNG. makes the game feels way less fun when you complete a run and get a bullshit character to form a bullshit team with zero synergy. i played on hard mode and for all the stages that didn't include an overworld boss they gave me my unbuilt sucrose keq fucking lisa and an artifactless beidou OTL makes it feel like a chore more than "fun" if u get what i mean. elemental restrictions are and always have been pure BS, i bet they're gonna have us play dendro + geo + cryo characters on the next cycle.
I wish that, instead of using a character only twice for the entire run, they would make the amount of uses dependent on the friendship level (like 1 use per 2 friendship level). Units with high friendship level are most likely to be already built, so you can still invest vertically while needing less characters despite the elemental restriction.
It forces you to build everyone.

I’ve been stuck on the 3rd act because I don’t have many characters due to me not being able to spend much money, I can’t get past that act and it’s been driving me crazy 😭😭
@@Chosoismylord Yeah, especially for f2p, it requires us to wish on many banners over a long period of time for even the 4 stars. The element restriction is harsh. What if I have built characters but they're hydro? Sucks to suck, I guess? Bank account skill issue.

It’s not free primos it’s primos from abyss but locked out for newer players don’t missinform
Nah for newer players getting the abyss primos hard is also so it is not locked out of you if you can complete the abyss and they give 220 + 1100 for first clear more primos
it's "endgame". Only people who have been playing the game for a decently long time can play this. Obviously new players can't get free primos from it. He wasn't misinformng.

It's pretty bad as it is right now, if you haven't been playing for ~2 years or so you will most likely not have built enough chars to play all modes, when the season changes to cryo or geo there will be even more problems. They need to increase the trial chars.
Even for f2p people who have been playing for years, if you made a 'smart choice' and only wished on banners you wanted the 5 stars of, you get less variety of 4 stars. RIP new players for sure. With all the 4 stars characters there are now, it's really hard to get a specific one. (Hello Kaveh?)
How can i build so many characters, when miyoho doesn't even give one good artifacts for Arlechhino despite farming for months 😂 , this mode is a joke for f2p players im AR 59 my account revolvs around hydro characters, f2ps arw cooked 😂
f2p here, cleared all stages with shit builds on characters, just play strategically to save the trial characters

@@MatzWerkit's meant to be end game tho? My older account cleared it in one try and my newer one couldn't even start hard mode (which is why I'm building the remaining characters I need). Don't see why people are crying that the "hard" end game they wanted is actually somewhat difficult.

It's just Abyss 2: Electric Boogaloo. We just lost half of Abyss for a replacement that takes less time to beat. I beat this thing in 10mins, I'm not a whale or even a dolphin and you can only borrow one character from a friend.
Also "It's not a seasonal thing", immediately "Each season of-"...like dude, proof read your scripts.
The most painful thing about this endgame is that if they allowed us to just use the characters we wanted to, it would be so much easier and fun. I don't understand why they don't want to do it like Star Rail where you can just choose the characters. Perhaps thats why its "endgame"
dude no shit, the games is 4 years old, unless you're a meta slave or a simp, most oldbie just simply have a bunch unused built characters. you dont even need to go full talents or have good artifacts on most of them to easily clear this

@@LongNguyen-uv8nn in the end I did try to use my other characters like Lynette, etc, and after a painful some 5 hours??? I finally cleared it. I planned to use my friend's C2 Raiden and went with some buff characters (C6 Bennett) and some Kazuha and Venti and Keqing and the trial characters and cleared it. I realized that the system honestly makes sense because if we could use our favourite built characters like the abyss, the game would be way too easy, and it wouldn't be endgame. It did serve its purpose of forcing me to build my characters and exchanging artifacts and though it was painful, I honestly had fun playing. I just feel screwed up when I used the vigor wrongly though.
It’s REALLY ANNOYING that you need to get 12 lv 70 characters that are pyro anemo or electro just to play it…. I DON”T HAVE THAT MUCH MATS 😢

@@artfurret the only pyro I have are HuTao and Dehya, but I have 5 electro but mostly onfield like Keq, Cyno. Only Raiden and Miko are versatyle in my team.
There is also the artefact issue getting worse. This mode couldn't came out at a worst point, people have been farming for Marechausse hunter for about a year now, wich means lots of new players have their best set completly team dependent on furina or vertically invested toward neuvillette and now they force players to not use them...like...are you serious ?! Its not always the case but i just wan't to show that niche artefact are getting even worth because of that mode. From now I feel like any decision I make is bad because there is always one element combinaison that will completly screw me. Lots of people are afraid of cryo and geo coming out and I have to say how infuriating it is that players are punish to not invest in bad elements. Its dev's entire fault, they have created flawed and unbalanced elements and they have find a way to force players invest into it, instead of reworking them and make them attractive, its litteraly the devs saying "Its a bad product...? to bad its the only product available...!" how much disrespect is that ? but once again players have to take responsabilty, the game is becoming more and more predatory, why ? because players show them that they could ! what do you expect from a compagny ?
Other issue, I just had the 18 characters with Yomiya, how a character like her or Hu Tao are supposed to performed in this mode ? its feels bad to have a well built character and that character still feeling like trash, you feel like you wasted your primos and ressources and I kind of guess is what their purpose is here, this mode is nothing but frustration. Its like reverse abyss, the best way to clear abyss for new player is with skill and wise teambuilding, being possible with low investment. The best way to clear theather for new players is just to have a hight invested account mindlessly spread into characters. I can't imagine how bad it must feels for new players to not being able to even play the mode BECAUSE they have well spent there ressources, its just unfair.
And to those being like "but the mode is for end game, new player shouldn't even look at it" : to you i say BS, an end game content should be a test for how well you play the game and not how much time and money you spent in. I had to build 2 characters just to play the "hard" mode, I 36 stars EVERY abyss and i couldn't play it. And as soon as i had built my 2 characters, i smashed the hard difficulty first try, not one bit of ressistance. And you know the joke ? with the bonus you can acquire during the run i didn't even use once the characters i was forced to build to enter the mode. And all that just to get 180 primos and not feelling challenged, WTF ?! i just was forced to waste ressources to get the entry ticket. again : WHAT'S YOUR DEFINITION OF END GAME ?! its just an investment check WAKE UP

You can just farm the artifacts for your existing lvl 70s. No need to level anyone else up.
It’s good- then you have something to work towards in a sense
it’s just dumb and disappointing, imagine rerolling for gruper in monolith defence, it’s not even hard it’s annoying, the teams you end up with are not even real teams and yes if you don’t have enought characters your cooked ( wtf is up with must have all 4 characters) imagine if hydro was there there is like only 3 4 stars characters in that element Barbara xingqiu Candice , and most people have only xingqiu build and rest are 5 stars you not ony need decent build characters but a lot of build characters and even if I don’t have problem with that people who are not playing since beginning are cooked again , and any f2p with not so much 5 stars. In my opinion this can’t be called endgame, even abyss is less luck and more skill dependent, and that is saying something. Plus what the fu*k is with elemental rasizm like this game is about reactions what’s the point of excluding half the reactions every month. Plus the audience of this bs of a endgame content just got halfed from people who can even 36 star abyss. Some people enjoy minmaxing that’s their main way of enjoying the game it was enought so far but now if they want to clear all endgame they can’t anymore and that’s why it sucks. Plus players build mostly for meta or characters they like and for this sh*t you need to pull even more and for characters you might not even like or that are not even that good like tf is that , that’s not even endgame that’s just a greasy greedy money grab with lowering abyss reset. What is even worse is that that little imaginary buff to specific trial characters that is active outside theatre means those greedy sons of bishes got cheap excuse to inflate abyss difficulty for players who don’t have those characters, or you might just get a buff but on your lvl 50 barbara. That’s just sad and I hope more people will see how down right predatory this system is

I honestly get that this mode is for older players, but I think the decision of decreasing the number abyss resets rly negatively impacted my acc. My exploration is completely 100%, so abyss is one of my few sources of primos. I don’t have enough characters to play the theatre so the amount of primos I earn per patch now will decrease. I rather they maintained the number of abyss resets per patch and introduced the theatre as an extra for old players
I’m just gonna sit sadly in the corner and cry that I only have Hu Tao built (she’s my first 5 star so maybe I had more time to collect her mats)
At this point, Genshin will be the only game I’ll play until I die because of all the things I need to grind.

i like that you only need to defeat all the opponents to get all the rewards and dont actually have to complete the star quests/bonus quests, as long as you have 1 good dps you can just use the trial characters and leave your own dps to defeat two big bosses (for me i mostly used the trial characters and had my arlecchino sweep through the vishaps and the dancing lady man duo boss) w/little to no trouble at all

For me difficulty system is a big NO, i mean that people who don't have "an arsenal" loaded with 20+ 90 lvl characters should just grind for wishes to get more characters and level them for inazuma's eternity to be able playing higher difficulties just to get more wishes to get more things? Spiral abyss feels more constant in this way: if you can do it then try, if not - try anyway.

You know...... I kinda remember thing...... I use to remember there this type of challenge from some older event. What it call again. It was some thing from Chasm event where story character get trap in Chasm. People was loving it and now people hate this version. All because you force to use character that you didn't build at all and most other character are not useable do to element wise or you don't have many character at all.

couldn't have chosen any element combination worse than this for my roster if they wanted to... Well, maybe if they picked dendro instead of electro i guess...
The fact taht Diluc and Raiden are the only 2 on-field DPS units I have outside of the ones provided as trial ones (Also Wanderer and Clorinde, but my wanderer is aproximately the same in terms of being built as the trial one, while my Clorinde still has her talents on 1-1-1, as I didn't level her talents up yet; if I did that, she'd be stronger than the trial one, as mine has a better weapon, and similarly good artifacts, but that's about it...)
The tams I can think of are:
mono pyro
- Diluc plunge with Xianyun
mono electro
- Raiden can do some stuff there.
overload
- Chevreuse is nice to have.
technically a team: wanderer hypercarry
The real issue is, that I don't have the required support units, or main dps units that'd make the ones I actually have work properly, as my account has mostly cryo, hydro, and due to navia, geo as it's strongest elements. If I had access to cryo, Gany uwould stomp, and Ayaka would carry as well. Heck, maybe even Eula for a physical team. To Hydro? Oh hell yes, Neuvillette, Furina, Yelan, Kokomi, Xingqiu, even a C5 Mona, all great units! gero would bring in unkillable geo daddy Zhongli, the gunbrella Navia, Albedo for off-field damage, beyblade Noelle, my old main DPS from before I got my first 5 star unit (that was Diluc): Ningguang. So many alternatives!
Yet what I have here is:
pyro: trial Arlecchino, Xiangling, Bennett, Chevreuse. The useful ones finish there. Also Thoma, Amber, Yanfei, Xinyan, Gaming but those are not only extremely poorly built, but would underperform as well... though, my own Thoma might do better than the event one in terms of weapon at least, even if not going by artifacts...
electro: Raiden. Fischl. That's about it. Maybe Sara (for mono electro Raiden) or Yae Miko. My Shinobu is purely built for EM, with the hyperbloom damage set. Without hydro and dendro, tough luck making thatwork for anything more than an off field electro application unit/weak healer...
anemo: Xianyun (great for plunge Diluc, and can VV shred stuff, which is good.), Kazuha (vv shred and EM buff), Venti (cc, but most of the mobs are immune to him :/ Also VV shred whatever he manages to actually hit...), Sucrose (budget Kazuha/Venti, but more adorable at least), Jean (pretty good for healing, but not much other utility), Wanderer (basically the same as the trial one), Faruzan (c6 on her, but shit artifacts, vs trial one with decent artifacts on c0... tough choice, but mine would probably be slightly better for Wanderer support), Sayu... she can swirl I guess. Traveler (surprisingly decent unit compared to being free, at least on anemo, dendro and geo elements. Out of which, the 2 better ones don't play right about now sadly...)
Going through the roster, the best I can think up about now teamwise are:
1.: Plunge Diluc
- Diluc, Xianyun, 2 filler
2.: Chevreuse Overload
- Chevreuse, Fischl, Arlecchino, 1 pyro/electro unit, Thoma would be great for shields I guess, as he's useless in most scenarios anyway.
3.: Mono Electro
- Raiden/Clorinde, Sara, Yae Miko, 1 anemo for swirl
4.: Wanderer hypercarry
- Wanderer, Faruzan, off field element applicators, like Xiangling and/or Shinobu
Sadly, only the top 2 have pyro damage, meaning only those 2 would be good against the icewind suite...
Obviously, a borrowed, very OP character could change stuff, like a well built alhaitham allowing for Aggravate or such, but that's it.
The randomness of getting units during the chalenge to add to our roster makes it a royal pain in the a$$... Oh well, it's not much harder than the abyss, just a lot less predictable due to random reward characters after the fights. If we had access to all of them from the beginning, and got no reward cards, it'd be really quite simple. We'd just have to build 4 teams. But not havign access to all the wanted/required members of a team at a given time can be a huge issue...
I cannot believe that I completed it and got 8 stars because I had never had 36 stars in the spiral abyss 💀

A lot of people are getting mad because of the requirements for levels. I can understand that feeling. But the reason is because it’s really late endgame content, for people who have nothing else to do and have a load of characters that are built. I think they should change the requirements but that’s just my opinion
In easy mode all rewards are available or shud i go for normal and higher actually i don't have that much higher level characters 14:29 😢
Sadly to get all rewards, you need to pass through all 8 acts and we only get three on easy and hard requires a lot of characters.
Same with me I can't even start the normal cause I don't have enough characters
I am a Ar 60 and I dont have a good Cryo or a Dendro Character . Rip 💀 but the rest of the elements I got enough. Alrdy finished the theatre yesterday
I have so few Cryo and Geo built that I honestly fear for future theatres 💀
Every week there is something new to read and learn in genshin. Many of us don't live on this game. or live on our computers. we have work, homes to take care of. we have shopping and family and errands. coming back to read a new game for 20 minutes before you can play is very annoying. I STILL have not played TCG because I simply don't have time. I am on level 6 or something. that level they put you on after forcing you to learn TCG.. they just need to stop drawing out the archon quests and bring more content sooner. if they didn't take months to bring a quest, they wouldn't have to come up with all this B.S. they are already a billion dollar company. at this stage everything Hoyo does is a very calculated move to extort more money and more time from you. when last could you just log in and just play. you have to learn all these mini games that go away by the end of the week and it's just too much
Damn true. I feel like they're trying to keep players "nerdy". They no need to do something like 2 hours of archon quest or a half hour of bs conversation before you can play the event that may never come back
As a day 1 player i one cycled the hard mode without any problems. I will say your guide is probably the most comprehensive one i've found so far! I love this new mode, all characters having new lines when you speak to them between fights is a pretty nice touch and pretty Genshin-level polish.
I kept leaving thinking it will save my progress but evry single time I have to do it all over again just to get bavk ro where I was

What can i do if it won't let me do anything past easy mode... it says I don't have enough characters, but I don't know what to do 😭
you will need enough characters of the specific elements at minimum lvl 60 for normal mode, and lvl 70 for hard mode
It was fun. I had a lot of characters build since launched and have a lot of fragile resin saved up to use whenever I want to build a character quickly. I only pay for the welkin and battlepass as well. To me, the game mode was fine because I have a lot of flexibility since I have a lot of resources. I find trying to adapt to whatever characters they give me a good challenge and letting us spend flowers to obtain companions or boons adds some agency to who l can play and how I can play.
For some changes, I wished it wasn't necessary to have 4 characters in a challenge so we can save on vigor. Increase vigor by 2 and decrease the amt of characters needed to participate by a good margin. Allow players to use more than just 1 support character from friends to at least 4. Have the boons be stronger and more unique to where it would change the gameplay.
I think Imaginarium Theatre has a fun concept of making the best out of your situation with limited resources. It just needs to have an easier barrier of entry, more gamechanging boons and more rewards.
As an f2p player this isn't gamechanging for me whatsoever. Cool, more primogems but it just isnt enough. Genshin is such a stingy ass game which sucks because I really like the game overall
Players also have to be able to actually beat hard mode to get the rewards... If each of these and previous spiral abysses just went into some sort of archive instead of being a limited timed event, then I'd agree. As it stands now, if you're unable to beat hard mode = no rewards for this round now or a year from now

Use Kazuha for grouping, and if you don't have him, use the overloaded reaction to stirr up the field as often as possible

no, all you need to do is defeat all the enemies and you will get all the rewards. Thes stars are just to flex on your profiles.

I was stressing out so much during the challenge as i only got 3 stars out of the 8 stages, but then it turned out to not even be important for the rewards

I think you really don't need that great builds to make it 😉
Especially if one character in your team is well invested, that should carry the entire team. And if you don't have many characters of these elements, then there's always easy and medium mode 😉

Imaginaruim theatre is made for endgame players. If u dont have this many characters built, it's probably cause you're still relatively new. Most endgame players have probably all these characters built.
@@nathantefera264just because someones been playing long doesnt mean they have a lot of characters/build all their characters. this game is absolutely massive, there is so much to do. ive been playing since 2.0 and have never run out of anything to do, so why would i resort to upgrading characters i never thought id use? i much prefer exploration to building characters. also most people have jobs, school and a family to take care of so the few hours i can hop on a week, i dont want to spend building characters i dont want. id at like to at least try the hard mode, even if i fail but i cant because of the character/element restriction. stop gatekeeping this game mode as if you're special because you've been playing for longer, you're not.

I would rather build all my characters I don't have than have a spiral abyss 2.0 where u can use anyone you want and do everything u want to do. It would be boring.

I have 54 characters at level 90. And since they're level 90, that also means their talent levels have been raised to the minimum to be functional.
9 characters at level 80 (only because I get no benefit from getting them to 80+}
And 1 character at level 70 (because Barbara sucks when you already have Kokomi)

In the difficulty pverview it says how many characters you need to bring into the run. If you don't have that many characters of the current season's elements, then unfortunately the game won't let you start the run :/

I like Spiral Abyss more 'cause that's more friendly for selecting characters than in Imaginary Theater but I like Theater more in term of giving more rewards than in Abyss hehe
It's barely more and overall the total increase in primos is only a tiny bit more cause of abyss resetting once a month. Plus half of the rewards we just got were a one time competition thing

It is both f2p friendly and not depending on what you are doing with your account. Easy if you invested in various teams to a decent degree, hard if you single mindedly focus only on just several characters.

I completely disagree when they say, "this mode is very f2p friendly very good on getting those primogems." You actually have to be able to beat hard mode to get all the rewards... Don't have 12+ built strong characters that fit the elemental restriction = can't get the rewards = obviously not f2p friendly. Not to mention those who can't even attempt because they don't even have enough characters to even enter. What reality did they come from?

@@kennithbob Don't get me wrong, I only played since end of Inazuma (and had months long hiatus a few times) and my strongest element is water -- which is restricted this month. I never even finished the 12th floor of Abyss yet.
However even my account can clear hard without adding anything new. That should be fine for most people as well, as a lot of people haven't even cleared Abyss with full stars either. The more interesting fact? I actually can simply train a few more characters to my rosters and I don't think that is particularly difficult. Remember that those don't need to be fully fledged Abyss ready characters, a few level 70/80 characters with half assed or borrowed weapons + artifacts should do. Do I have them ready right now? No. Can I prepare them in one month? Definitely.

SO many people are getting mad because if Imaginaruim theatre, complaining that they dont have enough characters. Like bruh. I think he forgot to specify that this is ENDGAME content, for gods sake. You shouldn't even be LOOKING at this gamemode if u dont have that many characters built. This gamemode is targeted to players that are like ar 55 or above. If u don't have that many characters, just don't even play this gamemode. Even so, just build your characters, stop being lazy. All u need to do is level them up, and you can easily clear with 4 star artifacts with good main stats and no substats. As said in the vid, use ur terrible chars at the start and your more invested ones at the end. If you're a new player who just wants primos, there are soooo many other ways to get them. Stop being a baby and try to cop easy primos, if u dont have the chars, use other ways to grind primos.
TL;DR : If u don't have many of the required characters built, you're probably either relatively new or just not deep enough into the game. So If u don't have these chars, either build them with the shit ton of fragile resin you get early game, or use other ways to get primos, and stop complaining.

Then they should have made it available to just AR 55+ guys. It feels terrible that there is free primos available but I can't even play it. AR 35 is too quick for it then.

adding this gamemode is a good change but they nerfed abyss primos(Monthly reset and not every 2 weeks). Thats why people hate this change.
