I HAD A 2012 Genesis V8 & now I have 2020 Genesis G90 Ultimate. I highly recommend them. Friends & Family are always impressed and I love to drive it. Get the Tan Interior with the Blue Exterior. It looks really sharp.
I also have one too. Very pleasant to drive and a head turner. I live in Austin, TX. I've seen other Genesis vehicles including older G90s. But, I'm yet to see the 2020 and newer G90 sedans. They are rare and stand out much more than the typical 7 series , A8 or S class sedans. It's uniqueness was the main reason I got one. I just wish it had this new user interface. Hopefully Genesis does an over the air update.
Love the implementation of the cabin. Overall sleek on the outside, and looks cozy on the inside. Then there’s that warranty genesis is known for, making this an enticing option to consider. Definitely a contender to Mercedes for sure.
@David Moore Again no offense, but go drive a new S class ;-) It's true that mine topped out at just under $155k, but the Genesis is just not even in the same ball park as an S. It's hard for me to compare the E because I have a Brabus E53 which focuses more on performance even though it does add leather everything ... and again, the price was $100k plus the cost of the Brabus upgrade (I'm still waiting for this to be built) which will probably cover the Genesis HAHA Maybe compare it to a Lexus (sorry, I don't know the current LS type - one of my kids has an LC hybrid that has rear steering tough) but I think that was over $100k too. If you see a pattern here, I think the Genesis has a much lower price, which adds a certain edge. Lastly, and I mention this timidly because it is not my criteria but certainly it is for others, but driving up in the S at the club or dinner will take decades - if ever - for the Genesis to compete ... And conversely, a Rolls will usurp that cache over the S just as easily. And my favorite drive? I have a nicely "restored" Chevy 3100 5 window Blue Flame (albeit with trip aces, split exhaust, full leather, and burnished paint job) that turns more heads than any of the aforementioned HAHA
@David Moore nope ... 900 horses on the lighter frame with the Brabus tech bits ... simply amazing! I never got into Rolls or Bentley because they are a bit too ostentatious for me - I prefer the anonymity of an MB - plus I rarely have a driver outside of going to the airport. I got into Brabus because they will do a complete leather interior from headliner to floor mats! My other kid is into Porsche and lords over me that you can order leather anything in a Porsche from vents to knobs, so I get the Brabus to compete ;-) Brabus has some boats too, but they are difficult to get. They also have leather interiors - which I am not so sure is a good thing on a boat HAHA I have a Galeon 325 GTO which has a close to leather looking material which I am more than happy with. But I would like to drive the Brabus with twin Merc Racing supercharged V8s! I'm sure Fountain would drive circles around it, but 60 knots in a cross cabin is OK HAHA
@David Moore That could be ... I had an early LS400 (I think that was '93 too) and everyone loved that car. Aside from water pumps, it was probably the most stable and reliable car ever. Just turn it on and went - the younger kid even learned to drive with that car and still held up OK HAHA Come to think of it, that car was passed around to the grandkids and held up through them too! I had the '93 E500 for about 10 years or so and no way could that have lived through that kind of life HAHA $2k brake jobs every 15-20k miles, endless maintenance records throughout the 100k miles it had on her - but that was certainly a special car. I always enjoyed that car too ...
while the koreans are doing this. idk wtf the japanese luxury automakers such as the lexus, infiniti and acura are doing these days. they need a major wake up call!

I just purchased, about 9 months ago, a BMW 840i, which set me back a whopping $92,000 (the MSRP was $115,000). I love it, but the features on this car, which frankly looks similar to my BMW on the outside, are amazing. Thanks again for sharing the video.

@@artistnyc123 function over form. A luxury car is supposed to deliver a luxury experience which starts with engine transmission suspension fine tuning and so on, and then gimmicks and techs in the interior, not vice versa. LS400 was successful for that exact reason
It’s nice for the price point, reliability of these cars are great and they have the best bumper to bumper warranty. Will always be the little brother of all luxury brands and there’s nothing wrong with that. I like em personally even owned a second generation Hyundai Genesis.

The exterior is bold, inspired! The interior isn't quite as good, lacks some cohesion, feels bulky. But it's almost there. The losenge shape they use for some speaker grills, vents, the temp control area seem out of place with the rest of the interior. GV70 has the most cohesive interior of their models thus far. Definitely love where this brand is heading though.
These cars are for the Asian market Korea,Hong Kong,China, where the back seat is everything cause that is where the guy that paid for the car sits .In Asia there is so much money that it is very common for people to have their own driver and to be driven hence the popularity of this big lux sedans.In the USA people just don’t have the money to have driver just the very few . In the USA the owner is driving and the back seat is an afterthought
Hyundai has come a long way. I feel like they are slowly taking Lexus spot as the primary luxury alternative to BMW, Mercedes and Audi. Lexus makes great vehicles but they seem to becoming more cheap feeling. The only thing Genesis lacks is any hybrid options which is sad in 2022.
Not big fan of the hard plastic and clicky sounding buttons on the steering wheel.mThe beep tones on the touch screen can get old. Other than that, if over the top luxury is what you want, this is a bargain.
I have a 2016 Genesis. The model that became the G80 and it still purrs like a kitten. No problems whatsoever. I highly recommend this car brand.
I knew someone who has a 2016 Genesis It was a real surprise. All I could think was my living room isn’t this comfort.
