  • If you are looking for a budget friendly, lightweight, hassle free mower for a small yard, then this would be a good choice for you.
We got the mower to transport back and forth in a car to mow our parents' small trailer park lot yard. It folds up, is light weight, and is easy to carry around. We don't have to worry about spilling gasoline anywhere. It does the job for a small yard, but I wouldn't recommend for a normal sized suburban type lot. The cord tends to get in the way too much.
The cut quality isn't the greatest. It tends to look splotchy and uneven, but I am comparing it to a top of the line battery powered mower which we use on our own lawn. It does not much well and leaves large grass clippings.
It is quieter than a gas powered mower, but again I would say it is still louder than the cordless battery mower we have.
The mower is not self-propelled. On the lowest cut settings, (1 or 2) it is very difficult to push it over any lumps in the ground or slightly tall grass. It took a lot of force to move it. The mower did roll freely at settings 3, 4, or 5.

This is a great mower. I don't know the problem with this reviewer not knowing how to use this one. The price has doubled in just the last year alone. You may get a better deal with a battery Green Works mower. I have one of those too.

So not for you. But on the bright side, considering I have a small yard and no random chunks of stone laying around to get over, it looks perfect for me.

I would suggest if the party who did this video is going to continue using this Ryobi mower for cutting grass they secure the the traveling extension chord to the handle as shown in owners maniual

If you start closest to the outlet, and mow perpendicular to the outlet and do one way back and forth is best. Doing a square path will keep making you run into the cord. The cord wont get into your way much if you keep going back and forth on the same side starting close to the outlet in the beginning and work you way away from it. It works for me quite well.

Yes, I learned this the first time I started using my 13". Best to work away from the outlet rather than towards it.

Looks like this review was created by the competition or a hater to tell people not to buy this mower.
