Been waiting to check out Two Point Campus and we got sponsored to have a look on launch day! So far besides a few bugs it's feeling good to play, if you wanna get the game use this link to support the channel: i.try.games/two-point-campus/r20hpn
Just a quick thought from watching the beginning of your video - yes settings are important, you show us a preview of the game, many times I base whether I buy a game or not on such reviews and it's good to know what's in the options menu and what's not :) it helps to give a full overview:)
i really appreciate you going over the settings. it's really important to me to know what accessibility and GUI options a game has, and too often those options aren't disclosed even by the publisher.
I wouldn't mind playing through if people wanna watch, I really enjoyed these two missions and the variety ahead of this looks nice. Just have to find the time haha, I'm hoping once I finish these lists I can get some more casual gameplay done.
@@GamerZakh the strategic aspect has really improved from 2 point hospital, now the things you place have actual meaning, and you have to manage the rooms, clubs, staff, events, timetables too, not just build build build. Also the variety of maps is far superior. This one is worth the money and time I'd say
@@alessiobenvenuto5159 Yeah they really tied a lot of things together. I like how student have those goals to kind of guide how you spend Kudosh, rather than just randomly unlocking whatever.
@@GamerZakh i like challenging games, but kudosh are just tedious. They're scarse, and In favor of unlocking important stuff, you are blocked out of unlocking cosmetic stuff to make aesthetics better. To me they could have made research only for gameplay items, and kudosh only for cosmetic, or have cosmetic all unlocked from the start... But at least there's the sandbox mode where you can set your own rules, and if you really want to play the career without being locked out of cosmetics too, there's always cheat engine :P
I love your content precisely because you're 'old', or rather because we're about the same age and grew up enjoying similar games. Not that many channels I can go to for playthroughs of Morrowind, Battle Realms, Theme Hospiral, From Dust and so many others that are near and dear to me. You even go for the settings menu first, as The Ancients decreed we must!
There are a few reasons why cinematics have no voice volume sliders, mainly because it's unusual to have seperate channels for cinematic music and voices. There are usually encoded into the video itself. If it is an in-game cutscene however usually the sliders will affect it. Also, even if you could adjust the cinematic sound level, it would be a bit inpractical for the user to actually test the balance in their own ears since it's an one time occurance. I guess can still load just before a cinematic and test your settings but its a bit of a hussle imho. ps. what a game! also love the sense of humor.
I'm not asking for separate sliders for cinematic music and cinematic voices to be clear, the cinematic video should just have an audio slider for it as a whole. I know the audio is encoded into the video, the video should have a volume slider. In-game cutscenes should also have a different audio slider from music, ambiance, and sound effects. My favourite audio sliders are also the ones that play a sound when you change them, so you know immediately how loud the thing will be when you're in the settings. Without a cinematic slider, which I have seen before it's not complicated to create a slider to control video file audio levels, you could turn a bunch of things down but then cinematics blast your speakers out. Even the Augustus mod team has added a cinematic audio slider option, AAA big budget games shouldn't have a problem adding them.
@@GamerZakh sorry for the misunderstanding Zakh, in that case i totally agree with you! Slider is always welcome. Another solution could be a normalizer of volume during cinematics to avoid the blast that you are talking about.
It's not for the future of our students. It's for the future of our wallets. I liked Two Point Hospital because is a perfect tribute to my favourite game of all time: Theme Hospital. I need to try this. Also, I love the british humor that this games exude.
I might but this month I'm super busy with work off camera. After this month I'll see if I can commit to a new playthrough. I should also finish Zeus and Settlers 2 before starting a new playthrough, it feels unfair to start a new one when I have incomplete ones.
Hey wherever you want to buy the game from is perfect, no worries! First priority is what you want, if you use a referral link then I still super appreciate it because it also supports the channel,
Zakh, enjoy watching you play all the indie games, you should stay away from these type of games as all you want to do is complete the levels & finish all the challenges without actually going into the finer part of a game, hence the plonking down of items every where & anywhere. Having a big budget is great now so you can do it, down the track you will have a nightmare balancing you finances & kudos etc but, good luck anyhow.
Hey! It's not so much I don't want to chill and do the small things, it's just in one-off videos like this I'm trying to show off as much as possible. If I do a playthrough I'll sit back a bit.
Lol I don't think 40 is old, it's just whenever I say anything about my back problems, the 40 year olds come out saying they are old, so it's the 40 year olds who think 40 is old.
The radio announcer? It changes between like 5 different people. You can see in the options menu there is DJ Volume, that controls the radio DJs so yeah you can turn them off.
The first definition of diversity is, "the state of being diverse; variety". The words can be interchangeable in many contexts. Diversity isn't limited to racial diversity, if that's what you're thinking.
@@GamerZakh yes I'm aware, it's just that in the mainstream this word has been used to the point of indoctrination concerning identity politics etc. it has lost its appeal.
@@Cenot4ph Hmm well I don't really know what you're referring to but I'm coming from a very relevant place concerning the word. I'm a mixed race Eurasian immigrant with a mixed race wife and we both work in industries where racial bias, racism, and representation are both highly relevant and everyday issues, and I don't think 'diversity' is a taboo word that can't be used to say missions are different from each other in a video game.
@@GamerZakh you may not have noticed, but there's an increasing focus on how people look instead of what people do and the results they produce. Particularly in the USA this is becoming more and more of an issue with the use of pronouns as another example of the mad rush towards a country divided in little groups based on meaningless characteristics such as sex, color of your skin etc.
@@Cenot4ph Increasing? What do you mean? I faced constant racism and judgement based on my skin colour the moment I started school in the early 90s. I have been hired and not hired solely because of my skin colour and accent. My dad got called the N-word constantly when he was in the UK in the 70s even though he isn't black and lost out on opportunities because of racism. My mom was raised by her grandparents who were severely racist and she said it made her a terrible person in school in the 60s when she was a kid because she judged people based on skin colour. As for preferred pronouns, I genuinely don't care what people want to be called, if they ask me to call them something sure I'll call them that. Not really a problem for me and doesn't cause any divide because I don't care. It's like I had a neighbour who's name was Timothy, someone called him Timmy and he asked to not be called Timmy and to please call him Timothy, so we just called him Timothy from then on no probs. We all have pronouns and if someone asks to be called a different one then I use that and it never comes up again. Personally, I don't care what pronouns people use for me either, I'm just happy if someone even spells my name right lol
Of course they are, you can't learn about any subject properly without learning about ideology and politics. I studied multimedia and arts 15 years ago, we learn about how marketing and media is always a reflection of the creator's beliefs and perspectives. Even self portraits throughout history were basically propaganda pieces to promote someone's status and wealth. You can't separate any creation from politics. Your comment right here is 'infested' with ideology and politics. Trying to be apolitical is a political stance. Everything has always been political, maybe you've just been able to ignore it until recently?
@@GamerZakh That's not what I meant, I mean the indoctrination/madness that found it's way into universities over the last ~5 years. I studied 12 years ago in Germany and back then it was like you described, colored with the usual western ideology, but that wasn't harmful for our society. The new agenda is radical and divisive, they are even changing our language in an appalling way, even though it's not the official german grammar. It's really bad here in Germany and probably even worse in the US.
Well I'm not sure about Germany or the US, or exactly what you're referring to since you aren't being specific, so I can't really comment. What's so radical and divisive? What I know of language is that it's constantly changing, so what's proper grammar is going to change through the years as well. That's normal.
