I just ordered this watch again (I sold the one on this video to purchase another watch) so I'll be publishing a proper review video in a couple of weeks! Stay tuned!
4:36 Watch finally revealed out of box...
Thx for that 1st impressions! Great you mentioned STN LCD, which has great clarity. This is not much common in G-SHOCK world. I have a few Casio Protreks with STN LCD.
Cheers,
Is it back lit? Can you see the time in the dark without the light
You think this is suitable for the gym ?
The titanium version has been released. Are you going to get it?
Awesome watch I own the same one, and it's a keeper
It scratch easily?
@@Don-Coyote-De-Transylvania no not at all
I have this watch in a positive display. Had a hard time finding it, but it is a Japan only release. Cost me a few bucks more, but worth it 100%
Wht is difference so im not a watch enthusiast but keen for a gshock
Positive display is a display with black numbers and ”transparent” background, i.e the opposite of my version.
Does it scratch easily ??? Want to know before purchase.
I'm sure it scratches like any other watch, it is part of why I haven't bought one yet.
Maybe as say Mark... In my side, that's why I also want one, because I think that scratches make this watch perfect, she will be vintage during all thoses time passed on your wrist, and as a consequences, make your's unique. It's like a "patine"
How did it age? I was worried to get one as I thought I might scratch it at work?
the Eterna looks so nice.. doesnt look small at all! nice review!
Thank you!
Hey! How's the black IP coating holding up? Really keen on the black, but concerned that it will scratch up easier than the chrome.
I have all three of these and it holds up real nice, surprisingly well. Same with the gold- its been knocked and scratched but i never seem to scratch off the colour at all. Really robust and durable imo
@@simonj.b5372 Hey thanks for the reply! I ended up picking up the black one anyway and 100% agree that the IP coating seems VERY durable. An amazing watch, love it.
Hey, congrats for the beauty. I must say, you chose the best colour. Please give a long term follow up
Thanks! Will do!
@@tobias_dahlberg how has it held up???
@@marz2thestarz Very well! Used it a lot and it's pretty beaten up from the military service but it has held up incredible well, never missed a beat. It's my go-to beater or pick up and run watch for when I don't want to set a mechanical watch that has stopped.
@@tobias_dahlberg did you find it heavy when running or anything I’m actually thinking of picking it up for MY military service, thank you for the reply!
@@tobias_dahlberg would you consider any other watch for military service? looking around for my own military service, thank you for the response
What is the bluetooth used for?
What type of eterna watch? Its look very nice!
Hows the black metal after some months? Is it fading? Or ware off from scratches?
I sold the watch in this video to fund another watch purchase. But I bought it again in June. I go in to the military in September so it hasn't seen much use and abuse yet. But once I am done with my military training (June 2021) I'm sure it'll be both scratched up and faded. And I think it will look fantastic! :)
If you are going to use it in your military service, I'd definitely buy the adaptors for a NATO strap, it would be a shame to lose it in the field because of a spring bar failure. Or you could buy the GW-M5610-1BER for the military, just a thought.
Thanks for the tip!
high quality full metal + screw case back .
almost perfect
saphire crystal would be 101% appreciated
Sapphire is more fragile than mineral glass. Casio will never use sapphire on any of their g-shock watches.
@@marfg12345 Mudmaster, frogman, titanium 5000, prolly otters- all. Have sapphire crystal.
@@marfg12345 They made this model in titanium with sapphire glass. But i do agree mineral glass is better if you prefer shock resistance over scratch resistance.
Did you seal this watch now ? 😁
Does the model number on the bottom of the tin match with the watch in the video? I recently bought a 2nd hand casio g shock. Everything looked fine apart from the different model number on the bottom of the tin. This made me think it could be a fake.
I don't understand the screw down case back for 200 m of water resistance. Even the $15 G-Shock has 200 M of water resistance and the case back is screwed in with four screws.
How loud is the alarm? Is it louder than 'standard' squares?
I'd say they're about the same.
@@tobias_dahlberg thanks for the info.
what about scratches ?
It looks really nice. I am going after the G shock g series.
What is the case size in mm? Thank you!
How many links did you take out?
would you recommend this watch?
I have it for 3 months it was a little above my budget and it's a great watch i don't regret buying it. It's classy heavy has great display, negative but very visible, it looks premium but doesnt lure attention. it does not scratch easy but i take care of it.
Also i think the specs says its a mineral glass like another g shocks but my no metal g shocks have scratches on display this one doesnt yet so it may be a better quality glass
I bought a $14.00 skmei all metal square g-shock homage just to see if I’d like the full metal g and this little skmei is one tough bastard! I love it so I may get the gshock in this video now I just have to explain the rational to my wife why I have to buy another watch that look like the skmei but pay over $400.00 more for lol
@@brianbuchert6382 one is a homage, one is a real thing.
do you think they gonna go up in value once they are all sold from the market? there are few left in my country, im thinking about maybe a little investment as they are limited :)
Hi!
I didn't know they were limited. Where did you get that information? I'd love to read up on this.
@@tobias_dahlberg i dont mean to be rude but - everywhere ;)
The production of these may be resumed tho once they are all sold
@@wojciech5177 Yeah, we don't know. I haven't read any official information from Casio themselves that this is a limited run. I don't know how many are made etc. I just bought it because I like it. Will it keep its value? Sure. Will it rise? I have no idea.
As far as I know they have the real 18k gold version and the "aged" IP-coated one that is limited.
@@tobias_dahlberg the idea came to my mind after i tried to buy a gw9300 which was also limited and i cant buy it anywhere now
Awesome watch!!!
Is it bigger than 5600 series?
Thanks
About the same size
Same size
beater watch for 500 dollars?
Yeah, it's too much
Does it scratch easily?
7:16 Beauty and the beast
fantastic gshock !!!!!!!!!
Skip to 4.00 minutes to see the actual watch you came to see.
i have the one with screw down back and combi bracelet .i prefer positive display anyday. nice review
Serieusly your going to use it in military service? Speaking from experience your going to regret is. Juist use a cheap one
My dw5600 survived fine. It was a resin one tho. I see no problem with metal one.
Metal will scratch af but well its his money
@@wojciech5177 some like the patina of time
When do we get the full review?
Is your grandfather’s Eterna for sale? LOL j/k but I love the look of it and I noticed the seconds hand was landing on those indices right on the mark. Oh yeah, the G-Shock is cool, too 😉
Haha nope! It'll stay :) yeah it's pretty awesome and it's fun that the second hand hits the markers nicely :)
Thanks for watching!
looks beautiful
Nice... How much
have both, retro black steel bezel and strap too :)) custom for 70 $
They Cost 400 € in Europ
You scratched the watch on the container at 5:00 lol
I highly doubt that your wrist is/was 19,5 cm here
I bought this and it looks better than the original. : @t
The watch itself is beautiful but the negative display on these things are a complete waste of time no pun intended! Just doesn't make sense how anybody would want to have to strain their eyes just to see the time unless you're pushing the light button everytime.
This is one of those rare gshocks that will sell for 5x the price after a decade
great review,,, but first full 4 minutes before seeing the real thing...
he get saphir glass ?
No, mineral glass
Too expensive for me... WHYYYYYYYYYY😭
You took 3 mins to open the box - hurry up next time - my time is valuable
4:02
Awesome.
The watch is always not infocus !
from a Swedish brand kahhrnavdjsten
本体を出すのに動画の半分使ってて草
And then they announce a titanium version lol
Yeah, but it looks like the titanium will be $1,200~$1,500 US. Ouch.
Super dooper... lol
Blurry video.
very poorly made video
It took you half of the video to show the watch...
