I love that Al, though he didn't persoally, really agree with Brexit, his character has embraced it, its good continuity and works really well. He's one of few real celebrity comedians left in Britain that I actually enjoy watching anymore.
His character embraced it because he's the butt of the joke - like Alf Garnett.
