A Comprehensive Review of French Creek State Park & Camping Area

A review of French Creek State Park in Elverson, PA including the campground, day use area, lakes and pool. This state park is 7900 acres with hiking trails and horse trails. There are multiple camping loops including dry camping, electric hook ups and full hook ups. The bathroom facilities are well maintained and clean. A large pool near the day use area provides plenty of aquatic activities for children and adults. Educational talks are provided on regular basis and kayaks, canoes and paddle boards can be rented.

We enjoy hiking and kayaking there with the grands. Never camped there, though. It’s too close to home. Tell Marie I add to the little library when we go there!

I love to go camping at French Creek State Park. Great hiking trails and the Ranger led programs are also good. It can get pretty crowded in C loop on the weekends but if you can get away during the week it's much quieter. Considering how close it is to Philadelphia it's not as crowded as it could be, thanks to its size.
