Leanne, this might sound weird from a "stranger" but I feel so proud of you, from sharing your vulnerability, to encouraging others, to getting yourself to the Doctor's & getting your needs met. Everything you said, yes even the waffly bits & brain fog moments, I can totally empathise with & I'm sure many others will too. Menopause is often joked about, & to be honest I did not realise how debilitating it could be, until it happened to me. Recently a friend told she had gone to the Doctors as she thought she might have early onset dementia, she felt like she was losing herself, of course it turned out to be the brain fog that comes along with the depletion of certain hormones & HRT has fixed it 😊There is light at the tunnel, not everyone needs HRT, some women thankfully just sail through, but those of us who don't, need to know we are not alone, we are not going mad and we can get back to ourselves, knowing we will be a little wiser & more empathetic to one another. PS I hope you find an air fryer they are amazing & energy saving too (there's a fun UA-cam channel called butlersempire who test out all kinds of things in theirs, I tried cooking a gammon joint at the weekend, it turned out beautifully) 🤗🤗🤗💕
I don’t think that’s strange at all I think it’s such a beautiful thing to feel/say. I was saying to my hubby earlier that I really worried about boring everyone with my waffling but if I over edit then it’s not a true authentic version of me. But it is hard, I annoy myself 😂 Oh bless, it’s very sad. Hopefully the more we talk openly about it the easier it will become. Oh really I will have to take a look, everyone seems to have them now, I feel so behind the trend lol 😂 Love gammon 😋 Thank you lovely honestly my heart is bursting with love that everyone has shown me 😘🥰❤️
@@mrs_leanne_jones I know & appreciate that the HRT does not work instantly, but I'm so looking forward to you telling us how much better you feel in a month or so's time, I'm excited for you 😊 The video re how to cook the gammon is here .. ua-cam.com/video/slZAjvRpl9c/v-deo.html&ab_channel=butlersempire
I’ve never seen anything like this. I am 56 years old and went through perimenopause as well, and lots of friends and family who have gone through it too. Fascinating
I second the comments below 🙏 I’m so grateful I have found your channel and this super supportive amazing group of warriors with Leanne championing us all through. My story is so similar to your Leanne and probably millions of others who lost themselves and just didn’t feel themselves but didn’t know why! I started with symptoms at 41! And was told I was far too young for it to be related to the menopause so struggled for 2 years and lost ME. after sobbing down the phone during lock down to the docs I was told it was probably peri m symptoms but I was to your g young to be considered for HRT so I was put on the progesterone only pill for heavy periods and citalopram for anxiety, which helped a lot but not will all of my peri symptoms, I limped along for a further year or so and now have finally been given HRT 🙏 at the age of 45. I am 6 weeks on it now and oh my goodness I feel a thousand times better! Like you I have my 3 month check booked which is in 4 weeks (I’m now waffling 🤣) and I am going to up my dose BUT I cannot even begin to tell you the improvements so far! hot flushes improved, brain fog improved mood is far more level and constant instead of up then crashing down I am far more calmer and almost back to ME 🙏 Leanne thank you so much for sharing your story and I wish someone was more braver 5 years ago like you to speak up 🙏 I’m on your journey with you all the way and I really hope you are starting to feel better already 🙏🙏🙏
Oh my goodness I honestly don’t even know where to begin 🥹 firstly thank you for sharing your story, you have no idea how much hope that has given me! I wouldn’t wish this on anyone but knowing that there are so many women that are like me does really help. Not one person in my life shared this (until I started my channel) so I felt like I was crazy and very dramatic. I feel so blessed to have all of you amazing people cheering me on! And I am certainly cheering you all on too. Thank you so much and please keep me updated. Have an amazing weekend 🥹🙏🏼❤️
Right thats it im booking an appointment . I need help im a 50 year old on mini pill but somedays now i am in a right state mood swings flushing brain fog tired all the time just to name a few . This has been so helpful thank u .
Just came across your channel tonight. You are an amazing person! You took charge of your fears and got help and it will make you so much better in time. I didn't go down the hrt route because a friendi told me about black cohosh, so that helped me lots, then I read that oriental ladies don't get the symptoms we get because of all the soya they eat. So I used soya milk every day for a few years too. I would recommend lots of fresh fruit and veg too. Take care.
Hello Leanne so so happy for you it’s so funny as that’s the gel I am on at last and I have been through so many different h r t meds I have been the best ever on it I sleep it’s amazing and I am starting to fell a lot better it’s took a few months but I am getting better so I am so happy u got this one as it took them so long to get it right for me so keep smiling 😊keep strong and have a great week uk 🇬🇧 ❤️
Just found your channel and love your courage in being so honest with your journey. I'm 60 now but your video took me right back to when I started on hrt. Losing myself was so scary, I work with kids and had to keep excusing myself to have a cry in the kitchen, one night I think I had to do that over 10 times which not only upset me but also them, bless them. I also forgot how to drive whilst on a duel carriageway and my then husband had to talk me down into pulling over so he could take over the driving. I could have hugged my female gp once she said I could have it. I also totally agree that you need to advocate for yourself. It's just so sad that so many women still have to suffer before getting the help they need. Over the 2yr period that I took it there were a few times that the dosage had to be changed but feeling like me again was so worth it. Good luck with your journey and for the courage to help others ❤️
Oh bless you, it’s crazy just how many of us ladies struggle for so long it’s terribly sad. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story honestly it really does bless me, I find it so encouraging. I’m trying to have realistic expectations and am prepared for several adjustments to doses etc but I do feel excited to finally get me back. Thank you again and welcome 🤗 😘🙏🏼❤️
Hi there, just found your channel. Welcome to the beginnings of the new you. By this, I only mean that now, you will learn to put you first and to think about things that you never had before. I’m 62 now and looking back over my journey, there were many up and down days and this taught me to take better care of my self. I didn’t do any meds. Through it and these were some of my own challenges I dealt with. Tiredness, sleep all you can! Hot and cold bouts. Every night on and off I would deal with this. Brain fog, mood swings, aches, and heavy periods until they stopped. Try to be patient with it all and baby your self! Best to you!
Hi there and welcome 🤗 Do you know I’ve never thought of it like that before 🥰 Thank you so much for your very thoughtful kind message I really appreciate it 😘🙏🏼❤️
Hi Leanne, what a brilliant video. I'm 55 and struggled through peri menopause, then menopause. I can't have hrt because I've had breast cancer. I plodded along but then, last year I blew my top. I was like a mad woman ... and still am at times, its not nice. I couldn't cope with the rage, lack of sleep and anxiety so was prescribed an anti anxiety medication which i was on for 3 months and while i think it helped with the rage and sleep it gave me awful palpitations so much that I struggled to breathe and the palpitations gave me even more anxiety - so I came off that and started a different one ... and the palpitations came back .. so I stopped that one too. So I'm no better off and really need to contact the gp, but she may say to go back on it and give it a good try. I'm so happy you were given the hrt you wanted and hope it helps. I'm a fairly new subscriber so catching up on old vids 😊. I've really enjoyed the ones I've watched. Take care and God bless xx
Hi Deb is it Deb? Oh bless you sweetheart! It really does impact everything doesn’t it? Very frustrating especially when you literally have no control. I’m so sorry to hear that you had breast cancer, what an awful thing to go through ❤️ I found the balance website really useful, if you haven’t checked it out then take a gander, they may have suggestions for alternatives for women like you that can’t take the standard HRT www.balance-menopause.com/ Thank you for sharing your story, it strangely does help even though I would prefer none of us have to go through this. Welcome and thank you so much for subscribing it is so lovely to have you here, there are some amazing people subscribed here so feel free to interact with each other. Have a blessed day ❤️😘🙏🏼

Hey Leanne, I'm so glad you found my channel because that means that I've now found you!...I'm 41 and have been going through awful perimenopausal symptoms for a while now but just don't know what to do because all you ever hear is that the doctors don't help women or take it seriously.
