For starters they probably go around 50 km/h and besides being close to them cars what are they doing wrong ? Plus if you take a good look they're close for sure, but while driving at, like, 10 km/h sooo... well i guess certain people can't handle the flow of infos that comes around them while driving on a motorcycle. I've seen them scooters in Charlesroi, Liège, etc. They're no better.... But otherwise it's true on a motorcycle we're never too carful, don't go over speed limit, always take over from the left side, have good gear, otherwise lane-splitting, ascending line of cars is legitimate, I mean common people !
