Taking the train to the Grand Canyon is absolutely the best way to get there! We're so glad we made the choice to ride in deluxe dome, because the end-of-train platform was so special. In our opinion, unless you plan to hike down into the canyon or do want to spend the night, 3 hours is plenty of time to take in the scenery and walk around to different viewpoints.
