Lol thank you. I'm gald you enjoyed my random and my silly dialogue. 🙂👍 😁
I know this area well
Yeah its a interesting area for sure 👍 🙂
Thanks for sharing👍👍
9:24 because it's unique versus common rocks and stones.
Yeah I collect common rocks that are aesthetically interesting . 🙂🙂😁
Otter is cute, what nice views, this must be the good area of Washington,.
@13:38 green rock. Maybe Aventurine or Nephrite. Pretty.
Happy adventuring!
Yeap, very pretty thank you for the Identification my friend 🙂👍👍.
Happy adventuring to you also my friend 🙂👍💯
I've lived there
Nice, it's a cool little town 😎
@WillBrownart not much for good rocks there though. Try walker valley just outside of Mount Vernon
Because you like it,that's the beauty of rock houndung, hounding, your treasure .
That's awesome, Thank you for the encouragement, I do love rockhounding.
That that high School above the road is pretty interesting. I'm a new sub looking for places to rockhound in Washington.

I used to live in sedro, miss rock hunting around there. hope to get back out soon.
Nice , yeah its a fun area to rickhound 🙂🤙
I smoked my first cigarette on that cliff by the high school. Got dizzy and almost fell on to the road below... :O
Thanks for the story my friend 👍 glad you never fell. It's a very interesting high-school lol 🙂
What types of places to look for geodes and gems???
You should check out my Hansen's creek video 📹😎. It's a good spot in Wa
It was a concrete plant. Where it got its name.
Awesome 🙂 thanks for the info 🙂👍👍
@@WillBrownart yea my dude! I just recently found your channel! My 9 year old daughter and I are new to rockhounding in NW washington (or anywhere lol) so if ya even need some company you feel like teaching, let me know hahaha.
Keep up the great videos Bud!
@@RockMonger Thanks my friend, sounds fun to me. Glad you guys are enjoying rockhounding and maybe one of these days are paths will cross. 🙂👍👍💯
Basalt.
I think the light one is a bone.
Head a little further East. Used to mess around near talc and mica mines. Was a mica mine in Diablo the Park service kept trying to blast shut while we would keep trying to open it up. They finally did a pretty thorough job of it. Lots of corundum...Ruby creek. There is a mine on Thunder creek that still has a lot of silver ore. Low grade and more expensive than it's worth to mine. Jade and Jadeite along the river.
Wonderful thank you my friend. I will have to check it out soon . Thanks 🙂👍
Concrete Washington is where the first Portland cement plant was built in the Northwest (in 1905-if I recall). Much of the concrete went to build the Grand Coulee Dam. I assume the silos were for the cement storage. There is no grain in that area to warrant storage in the silos. The grain in eastern Washington is shipped to Puget Sound for transport to the Pacific Rim.
Thank you 🙂💯 I never new that 👍
Thanks for Rockhounding in addition to all else you do. Otter is the best! I see a children’s book about a lonely collector whose rocks start talking to him. :)
🙂🙂👍🤣 love it lol . I might have to write that book 😉🙂. And its to late my rocks are already talking to me 🤣 I enjoy taking them to rock concerts and rocking out lol jk. But thanks for the love and encouragement my friend 🙂🙂👍
I'm from concrete and that silo is what they originally stored concrete in cause the town was started as a concrete production town for all the employees of the factories
12:20 looks like tufa
Carnelian agate.
Ok. I watch a lot of these lately. Rockhounds just rockhounding. This gentleman just shared his unique perception, love of nature and adventures attitude with us! I love when people share their whimsy with the world! Made for a super entertaining vid.
Thank you so much 🙂😀😀 thats a huge compliment and very encouraging. Your awesome! Thank you my friend 🙂
They are warning you,Sabe may be in the area.the eventing belongs to them.
I've explored the whole area, that's Burpee hill. I tracked mountain lion up there. Not much for rock finds. There is a mine shaft close by, I have a video of it on my channel. Lived in Concrete for a number of years. Down in Oregon now finding lots of nice stuff.
That little piece might be carnelian
him- were going to leave otter in the car cause theres alot of traffic
my mind- i havnt eaven seen a diffrent car then yours in this video 🤔
Lol yeah not to much traffic in that area, I try and edit it out and otter is not very good at staying out of the road sadly.
can ya find fossils here?
Hello, I'm not sure, I never found any but thanks for watching and happy hunting.
@@WillBrownart thanks dude
Washington has Pacific rattlers and scorpions.
Yeah I'm on the west side of Washington 🙂 but over in Eastern Washington definitely have to watch out 🙂
On the Eastside.
You're in Western Washington, so you don't need to worry about dangerous snakes etc..
Eastern Washington has dangerous snakes. Mainly the Rattlesnake.
My Grandpa was a Rockhound. He also had a LG collection of rattles from, snakes he ment in Eastern Washington.
Yeap I completely agree 👍and that's awesome 🙂💯! My family used to have a rattlesnake as a pet when I was a kid and captured them in the wild also 😀. Dangerous but fun . Thanks my friend for sharing
I used to live in Concrete. It's a beautiful place. It was a grain silo and I lived right across the street from it.
Thats awesome! Yeah I love the mountains and rivers very peaceful and healing !
the crows go home at that time of evening every day. They go in the opposite direction every morning, kinda like we go to work and come home at the end of the day. :) it's pretty awesome.
Thats awesome my friend 🙂👍
You are a beast . Lol love your down to earth spirit . Have fun . Stay safe . I think it may be 🍄 hunting season . Could be fun to try that
Thank you my friend 🙂😎 yeah I love going mushroom picking 🙂
@@WillBrownart right ? Washington is amazing . It is a place to feel grounded and get to be transformed by being grounded in the wonder of creation . So good to see someone who is young as yourself . Inspired by the true riches that life has to offer . You have so much of a higher level of joy when not practicing the crap that the worldly world wants you to be dependent in . Share the love .
%110 agreed my friend! To truly live means to truly love and to truly love you must first empty out oneself of foolishness and be filled with beauty. What we feed ours souls is what we become.
@@WillBrownart amen . I am seeing beauty from ashes out of the craziness in our world . Didn't think I'd get to see it . Just one can make a difference . Although a bit lonely . Not so lonely any longer ,Amen . Thanks for being one of The good one's . Shine your light all you people .
I absolutely adored how you said be safe because of snakes, spiders. I tell my girls all the time becareful where you reach. But foot down first or stick.
Lol yeah I understand 😅 🙂 you have to be carful for sure 👍. Good job teaching your kids 🙂
Im pretty sure thats the town where the speed limit suddenly drops from 50 to 25 when you enter if I remember correctly.
Yeah the struggle 🙂 its a very interesting town 🙂👍👍
Nope. Entering town from the West, it gradually drops from 50 to 45 to 35. Entering from the East, it drops from 50 to 35
Cool video! But “Im in Washington so I don’t have to worry about” being bit isn’t quite right. Lots and lots of rattlesnakes here in north central Washington..
Super Avocado must have an interesting backstory!! Hope to see the book available on Kindle!!🤣
🙂🙂🙂💯🤣 yes its a silly fun book for sure . Its also on Kindle 🙂
This was awesome! I need to go here. Did you ever find out if that was amber or carnelian? Love how you appreciate the beauty in nature ❤ Namaste 🙏🏽
Awe thank you so much . Yeah it was alot of fun . And yeah it was not Amber to hard but very beautiful 🙂🙂👍
You need a water bottle to spray them off
9:36 when the bud starts to hit... lol
Lol 😆 🙏🍕🍟🍔🥓🥩🌯🌮🌮🌮🌮
Do you have a better description on the area you stopped in. What mountain, what road. Just so I know where to head. I am pretty familiar with concrete. The way you described the high school is almost word for word what I said when driving under lol.
Its on Burpee Hill road next to concrete 🙂🙂 happy hunting my friend 😀. Also yes the high school is amazing lol 😆
Concrete is an excellent location for gold nuggets!
I think you are so cute 🥺
The cavern pieces you have is eroded away minerals over the years and makes a cavern or a crack leaving away the harder minerals. Happy hunting! I recommend you should try agates on rivers and creeks! That amber translucent piece is an agate!
Wonderful thank you, its alot of fun but I'm still learning 🙂🙂🙂 it was a beautiful day and adventure thank you so much for watching my friend 😁😁🤜🤛
I'm from lake stevens always trying to find places to go that are not private property
Yeah its nice to be able to explore new spots🙂🙂 Lake Steven's in a cool area also 😎 👍👍
I would want to take the mountain home with me
Your funny. :)
I feel exactly how you do. I’m in MA and we don’t have a lot of “special“ minerals but I have definitely found amazing treasures.🤎
Thats awesome my friend 🙂 lots of treasure out there to find for sure 👍 thanks
Haha my Buddy lived in Concrete for a bit poor guy finally got a chisel and gtfo!
Lol yeah Concrete is a special place lol 😆

Mahahahhahaah awesome thanks my friend 😁 im going to have to check it out asap 😀
@@WillBrownart heading up there tomorrow at 7am. Road enters near concrete ( other side of the Skagit) and it exits near Oso.
We are bringing the sledge hammers, sluice box and chisels. I need to get a rock crusher!
@@hound4u937 Yeah😁😊😊😊🙏 sweet !! Sounds awesome fam ! Hope you guys find a bunch of great stuff ! I want to get up there soon I just got back from shooting a few youtube videos in Eastern Washington cle elum lake and copper lake, spend a few days camping out was soooo beautiful!!
