Hi there and thanks for the video! I am able to unlock the unit but when I push the fan button nothing happens? Is this controlled only via the central unit. I am in a business complex. Fan is one of the loudest I've ever encountered.
If it doesn't change then it means those settings have been locked out at the central controller. Only the buildings engineer would be able to change the setting then, unfortunately.
Thanks for the info about central controller. Stuck in hotel room where temps are way above 70F and the entire thermostat is locked..... Cant adjust anything. Idiots.....4-star hotel and i have to sweat at night
Is there any way to reset a unlocked thermostat? My daughter lives in an apartment where the heating and cooling is not working properly. This thermostat is installed there. It will randomly shut itself off, blinks, won’t read temp correctly or run to heat up or cool down correctly, and will run forever sometimes. Only thing her apt. building will do for her is change the filters. I think they believe that since the installation is new, nothing is wrong. Never mind they had 3 floors of apts. out this past summer. I feel like someone wired everything up incorrectly. Thank you for any help.
Most of these types of thermostats are centrally controlled and can have certain features locked out. Unfortunately if that is the case, only the building managers will have full access to the thermostat. If its a new install then it should be on the contractor to fix the issues under warranty.
Have you ever seen one with an incorrect room temperature reading? I have one that shows a 6 degree Fahrenheit difference from another temperature sensor in the room. How would that be fixed?
Looks like I'm not the only one who came here looking for the hotel hack. Such a shame this hotel is locked down the thermostat to 67 this video is useless to those looking for that option
Unfortunately if the thermostat is locked from the central controller, there is no way to override the lock from the room thermostat. It can only be done at the central panel. That is how these VRF systems are programmed by Mitsubishi.
Hey any luck with HO CODE on thermostat ?
How do you remove the restrictions on the thermostat
What restrictions?
@@springws14lbss central control
@@ethanf5441 The only way you can remove those is if you have access to the central controller (Usually an AE-200).

Great video! Are you able to calibrate these thermostats at all? If the space temp reading is off? Thanks!
Looking thru the manual, I don't think you can.

Yup, unfortunately many hotels are now set up this way. Wrap a warm towel around it, should work for a bit.
@@springws14lbss I was there only a few days. Now in a different hotel, same thermostat and it's fully adjustable

Is the area behind the thermostat sealed? If there is a draft it could affect the reading.
How are you unlock the controller for the AC it doesn’t go under 72 I want to bring it down to 60 or 65
That means that the range is locked by an energy management system, only the central controller would be able to change those settings.
@@springws14lbss is there a way to disable it without the controller
60????😂
@@kamsim1 No, only someone in the building with physical access to the central controller (or web access) would be able to change the settings.
Hi do you unlock it?
Press and hold the "Mode" button.
