The 2nd movie is the best in the trilogy.
EASY
@@MariotheJedi it's true 🤷🏾♂️
Pure facts
if i’m not mistaken Jackie Chan started his career as a stunt man, so him doing all his stunts himself is natural and makes for a better quality movie
He wasn't a stuntman as much as a stunt-extra. Stuntmen are doing a stunt in place of an actor, in the late 60s/early 70s, the martial arts stunts were most often performed by the actual actors, just as he does today. He worked as one of Bruce Lee's choreography group for Lee's last 2 films.
He was. A stunt man to bruce lee.
He was a student at china drama academy at Pékin school, where they learn stunts
I love Ziyi Zhang (Hu Li) in this movie. She plays a villain so well, rocks a red lipstick, and makes a great femme fatale. She was also great in Godzilla: King Of The Monsters as Dr. Ilene Chen and Ling Chen.
One of my favorite comedic parts:
Carter: Just tell me how the Triads gon' kill us.
Lee: They will torture us for three days.
Carter: I can handle that.
Lee: Then they will cut off our eggrolls.
Carter: Cut off our eggrolls? Hell no! Let's get the hell outta here!
Side note: Michael Jackson watched this movie around the time he was planning out his short film for the song "You Rock My World" and contacted Chris Tucker for a guest starring role and Chris stated in interviews that Michael told him "I've seen your movie Rush Hour 2, you're kickin' with the wrong leg". 😆🤣☠
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Memoirs of a Geisha are also Ziyi Zhang's best movies. Just wanna add on to that.
The actors who played Ricky tan and Hu-li did a great job in this movie
Zhang Ziyi is incredible and wildly underrated and underused as a whole in Hollywood.
She's fuckin' AWESOME.
Part of it is her own fault though, for perhaps being TOO picky in the roles she takes.
She's only been in 5 American movies, despite LOADS of offers for her to be in all sorts of stuff.
🤷♂
Great reaction ! Jackie was 47 in Rush Hour 2 !)
If you want badass oldschool Jackie Chan you should add Armour of God to your list of movies to watch. In this film Jackie Chan was just epic, stunts and fights are very good, and even one crazy car chase ! Jackie got his most serious trauma filming one of the stunts in this film, this head trauma almost cost him his life. Absolutely worth watching great film !
P.S. It also have a badass sequel too, Armour Of God 2 - Operation Condor. 😎
There are tons of high quality Jackie Chan films. Some of my favs are "Who Am I?", "Operation Condor", and hysterically funny "The Tuxedo" with unimpressed sidekick Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Loved your reaction! So fun
I agree! I tend to like his Hong Kong movies much more than his American movies, as he has full control over his Hong Kong projects. “Operation Condor” is such a masterpiece in stunt work and choreography! Plus, it has very funny moments. It, along with Drunken Master 2, are my favorite.
Unfortunately, many UA-camrs do not react to his non-American films, possibly due to a lack of knowledge or a disinterest of all non-American things (somewhat evident by how nearly all popular UA-cam reaction channels react to the same exact movies from Hollywood). I hope this channel takes a chance and tries viewing movies that are lesser known from Hollywood!
Also, I wanted to add…I love Chandra’s smile! Her reaction for “Mortal Kombat” was just so fun to watch when she became so giddy and excited 😂
Awwww you're so sweet! Thank you for the wonderful compliment ❤And to answer your question about reacting to non-American movies, yes! We're so in love with Jackie Chan now, so we're definitely going to watch some of his non-American movies on the channel! @@rogerrabbit5110
Hahaha Jackie Chan with an unimpressed sidekick Jennifer Love Hewitt sounds like a fun dynamic. Thank you so much for all of these recommendations!
Jackie Chan & Owen Wilson - Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights
Fun Fact: When Chris Tucker say "Fun Gow" Right Now. "Fun Gow" means sleep in Cantonese. When Jackie Chan translates it's for comedy, not actual translations (It doesnt translate as Samurai Swords and shave their butts.). But Don Cheadle was actually speaking Cantonese which was very impressive and you can actually understand him
I know Chandra made that face when Kevin said “I am upstairs dummy!”
We all make that face when he says that 😂
Hey guys! This was fun!
For later, my favorite Jackie Chan movies are "Rumble in the Bronx" and "The Legend of Drunken Master" (aka "Drunken Mastet II" - the 1st is completely different, though) Have fun! 😁👍
Thank you so much for the recommendations! I really want to see those movies actually. So many people have mentioned them in the comments!
Great reaction guys to a very funny sequel my fav rush hour movie im glad u enjoyed it
Thanks for reacting to this! One of the great sequels in film history!
4:45 (±) » _"Oh hell, no!"_ // same 😂🤣😂🤣😂 i mean, the guys just went up running and climbing on 25 mph and i would be on "okay, 1st this foot and now this hand..." 🤣
My favorite movie in the trilogy! Absolutely hilarious!
I enjoyed your guy's reaction, subscriber earned! 😊
Aww thank you so much! ❤❤❤
Police Story, Drunken Master 2, Police Story 3 should be next. Some of the best Jackie Chan stuff ever put on film.
The bomb girl (the one with all the bombs not the one Chris Tucker said was the bomb) is Zhang Ziyi and is amazing! While I've seen very few movies that she's in, she's always great! People in the comments are already recommending all the great Jackie Chan movies XD
Hi Jordan & Chandra!😊 This film is many fans favorite film in the Rush Hour trilogy!🏆 Great reactions to another fun Rush Hour film, Maplenut Kids!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏
Hi Mike! Thank you so much! I can see why it's so many peoples favourite! It really had everything ❤
Chris Tucker was close friends with Michael Jackson. That's why he sings and dances all the Michael Jackson stuff in these movies.
8:23 (±) » _"No wonder u mad!"_ 🤨 // 😂😂😂
Have you guys checked out Jackie with Owen Wilson in Shanghai Noon and Shanghai knights? Good fun also. If want a more serious Jackie Chan film, check him out in The Foreigner. Plays a slightly older character but great revenge film - subbed
Love this movie 💜💜
The only time Jackie Chan used a stuntman was in the movie "Thunderbolt" because he broke his leg in "Rumble in the Bronx" that same year.
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤
Superb reaction! Loved this movie. I recommend 'Rumble in the Bronx'. It's what helped get Jackie Chan to western movies in Hollywood and it shows his stunt work at the end credits...one where it shows him breaking his foot.
He actually broke his foot!? Omg, that's so hardcore! A lot of people have been recommending "Rumble in the Bronx" so we're adding it to our list of to-watch-movies! So thank you for the recommendation!
No worries 😊
Anything you do on this channel is great. 👍🏻
31:57 MY favorite part is in the end credits it a was a blooper when Ricky is killed and Chris Tucker says at the end of the movie. Damn he won't be in Rush Hour 3.
Right!? hahaha omg that line got me good. I can't believe how funny Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are.
"Who died, Lee?"
"You!"
"Detective Yu?"
"Not Yu, you!"
"Who?"
"You!"
"Who?"
"Do you understand the words that are a-coming out of my mouth?"
"Don't nobody understand the words that are comin' out of your mouth."
Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Cynthia Pinot.
That's My Jackie Fact: Jackie Chan was sucker punched by one of his fans during filming, because the fan thought he would block the punch.
Guerrilla Filmmaking Fact: The scene where Carter (Chris Tucker) and Lee (Jackie Chan) are running down the street naked in Hong Kong was an actual take. Production could not block the street off for the shoot.
Location Location Fact: The part of the "Red Dragon" hotel was played by the Desert Inn in Las Vegas. The sign was changed and the lower half of the building was painted red for the filming of the movie. The hotel was closed at the time, so evidence of the transformation remained for a while. The Desert Inn was demolished on October 23, 2001.
In Dog We Trust Fact: The counterfeit dollar bills used in the movie have "In Dog We Trust" printed on them. During the filming in Las Vegas, about $1 Billion in convincing prop money was blown up during a scene, but some bills escaped destruction and ended up in circulation. Some of the extras walked off the set with some of the fake cash and it eventually ended up in a few casinos. The situation went so out-of-control that production was briefly shut down when the FBI subjected the props department to an investigation to determine whether or not they violated the Counterfeit Deterrence Act of 1992.
Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson in "Shanghai Noon" and "Shanghai Knights" are so much fun.
─ Who died?
─ You!
─ Detective Yu?
omg 😂😂😂
From the 90s Jackie Chan movies I really like "Who am I?" "Mr. Nice Guy" and "Ruble in the Bronx" - "Thunderbold" is also a very unique movie. These are the movies which got me into JC movies. That was before I knew about Rush Hour 1-3 or the Shanghai Knight/Noon movies. They are also awesome!
I haven't seen this in your comments yet so back after the first Ninja Turtle Movie, there was also a costumed band. I used to have a VHS tape.
There's a 4th one coming soon.
Rush Hour 2 was awesome 😎
Thanks for the reaction! 3 is my least favorite but definitely worth the watch.
I’m gonna echo anyone else recommending the Shanghai movies. It’s tough to beat Chris Tucker, but Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson kill it together as well
That sounds like a fun duo! Thank you so much for the recommendation!
If you guys are looking for some more fun recommendations outside of Jackie Chan films, I highly suggest checking out Face/Off with John Travolta and Nicolas Cage. It's the epitome of 90's cheesy action that is a complete blast from start to finish.
You are cool! It's great that Jackie Chan is appreciated for what he did in cinema. This is truly a great man. Let me surprise you - Jackie Chan's talent in "Rush Hour" is shown at only 25%. To really see what he can do, I recommend "Rumble in the Bronx", "Police Story 1-3", "Who am I?", "Armour of God 1-2" or... Oh my God! I recommend any of his films! They are all worthy of attention! Actually, just like your channel!❤
You guys have seen Bruce Willis in Die Hard and Chris Tucker in the Rush Hour movies, now put them together and watch The Fifth Element!
Highly recommend Jackie Chan's First Strike movie 1996 he does alot of complex stunts.
Fun reaction! I love these movies. I just re-watched the third the other day as I didn't remember it.
I would also suggest Robocop if you haven't already watched it . ✌️❤️🌈
Comedy movie suggestion - "Wild Hogs". Stars John Travolta, Tim Allen.
You should check out Jackie Chan in Tuxedo with Jennifer Love Hewitt. It's so fun!
I just subscribed I love Jackie chan and martial arts movies I'm a martial arts movie encyclopedia pretty much. Rumble in the Bronx and Drunken Master are my 2 favorite Jackie Chan movies.
Thank you for the sub!! We love Jackie Chan too! His stunts are next level. Okay, Rumble in the Bronx and Drunken Master... added to our list! Really appreciate the recommendations!
Guys do you do video requests? If so I would love to see a reaction to *Misery* staring *Kathy bates*
You should watch Police Story, it has some of Jackie's best stunts.
I suggest you watch some more Jackie Chan's movies, you'll love each and every one of them. Fun fact: JC is starring in over 100 movies, so choose wisely. 😉
More Jackie films Shanghai noon and Shanghai knights! Nice reaction!
Thank you so much for the recommendations!
It doesn't feature Jackie Chan, but I suggest you guys watch 'The Raid: Redemption', which is an Indonesian martial arts film released in 2011. Hope you guys aren't squeamish because that film's a lot more brutal 😅
You guys should watch the Ip Man series with donnie yen as well as my favorite Jet Lis Fearless
Rush hour 3. Shanghai noon and knights. Then First Strike.
Again!? You guys cut out the best jokes in this one too!
gotta check out the third one and finish the trilogy. I sub'd

You want some great Jackie chan movies check out *rumble in the bronx* who am i *police story*
Jackie Chan confirmed that Rush hour 4 is in the works
I still doubt it’ll happen. Jackie will be 70
@@ivanivez7456 so
Oh wow! Okay, well we still have to watch Rush Hour 3, but then we'll be totally ready for 4! Hahaha
Even at 70 years old, I bet Jackie Chan could kick serious butt and do stunts haha@@ivanivez7456
@@maplenutsreact The action in Rush Hour 3 was toned down obviously cos of Jackie’s age and that was in 2007
If you're looking for good fighting scenes movies, check out the Jason Statham series Transporter, Crank, The Mechanic. You'll love it. Love your reactions and you got yourself a new subscriber. Cheers from the land of Dracula (Romania). Stay safe and have a bloody, I mean happy new year! Muhahahaha :)
Could you please do a reaction on Drunken Master 2 aka Legends of the Drunken Master? Thanks…..
