LT.. Fort Polk was my first duty station in 1990.. I’m sure Leesville hasn’t changed much. I wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your channel.. as a retired SR NCO, I thank you for your service, God’s Blessing 🫡🇺🇸
I'm pretty sure it's worse they don't have hardly any more bars open. At least the last time I went back in 2018 to intern my father-in-law's ashes at the veteran cemetery. And that was the first time I went back since I got out in 2015.
I was stationed there for 3 years as infantry. As soon as I arrived there 2 weeks later I was in the box. I did two box rotations, one support rotation in the box. Hundreds of team squad platoon company battalion live fires. Mountain peak, sticks. Lived in the field pretty much. And at the end of the box all other units get to leave early, but my CCo company we at the beginning were taking miles gear from all the vehicles that went through rotation and then were cleaning those shower trailers. Glad I got out. Oh I was AG so I always carried heavy azz weight
Thank you for this!! Going to JRTC in July as my brigade's PAO.... as a LT. Very nervous, so I greatly appreciate your honest insight! Could you make a video of what you wish you would have brought to JRTC but didn't? Or like what's the best stuff to bring. I know you mentioned extra boots and WW gear. But anything else? Peace & Love - Lt. Coburn
An LT serving as a BDE PAO?! Good luck lol. Overall we packed extremely light especially since some of us were jumping in. If I were to have to go again I don’t think I would take anything additional to what I brought this cycle which is everything I said in the video. I’d probably plus up on baby wipes and not bring so many snacks.
My son is stationed at Fort Polk, it’s his first duty station as a 1LT I believe he is in Logisitcs as well but I think motorpool now. I wish I knew you were there. I remember when you were in VA I gave him your YT channel to watch as he prepared to go to BOLC.
