  • For this teaching, we cover 4 different methods of finishing off your bead loom bracelet including: End Tips; Slide End Tubes; Ribbon Clamps/Crimps; Ringed Closures; and a few examples of tying knots. Since there are many ways to complete your bead work we have also included links to tutorials of other bead work finishes by different artists (below).

    Note: this is for attaching to a belt, but it’s basically the same for bracelets, barrettes and hat bands, except you would probably use lighter weight leather or fabric, and wouldn’t need to pre-punch holes. After you have attached it to leather you can add snaps, buttons, Velcro, ties, hooks or any closure you want. If someone out grows the bracelet or belt, you can attach the beading to a larger piece of fabric or leather.

    Note: They demonstrate on bead work done in peyote stitch.
    For work off of a loom: remove from loom; weave in all threads securely; follow video directions (except the attachment of beaded closure happens at the outer most ends), then follow the same directions (you only need a few beads on the shank, after the button before weaving the thread into the loom work).

    Great for showing woven thread ends (time 14:50) if you do not want to use an extra row of beads for a ribbon crimp, but you do need glue.
