CD/JP and S2/8 are sister soundtracks, and it’s great hearing them on each others’ systems. I would recommend the WIP Sonic CD remake for the Master System soundtrack for anyone interested in the role-reversal.
I know Yuzo Koshiro worked on the first 8 bit Sonic, but did he compose the sequel or was it someone else? EDIT: Nevermind. I just read the name of the composer.
out of all the composers on youtube doing sonic stuff.. no, YOURE the one who gets it. you understand how to replicate a sound properly. this is amazing. this is the shit right here - the real sonic cd sound with the sampling and all
Fantastic! The same team of composers worked on Sonic 2 SMS/GG and Sonic CD, so I suppose it makes sense that this translates so well! (Masafumi Ogata, Naofumi Hataya and Tomonori Sawada are credited under "sound")
I could listen to CD-Esqe remixes of all Classic Sonic all day. Also this feels like something that would be in Sonic GEMS Collection... Well maybe I only think that cause there's a really good unlockable Underground Zone remix in the museum of that game already lol

Sonic 2 on the sms/gg is an underated game and has an underrated ost, it deserves a remake and if this were to be the soundtrack to it how awesome would that be.
I have always thought Sonic 2 for the GG/SMS had some of the best music for the system. Sega really should have remixed some of these tracks themselves, this one really captures the sound of the 16 Bit Sonic games, even though this game wasn't 16 Bit. It also happens to be one of my favorite games for both systems. While some find it too tough, I had no problems with it and even found all of the Chaos Emeralds in the game as a young kid.

This sounds SO straight out of CD that I almost had deja vu
fr, quartz quadrant bad future or something
Sonic 1/2 SMS/GG suppose to be original composed by Naofumi Hataya Masafumi Ogata and Yuzo Koshiro track thats why its more beautiful than CD
Rewatching this gave me deja vu all over again!
It's becouse both Sonic 2 GG and Sonic CD share the same 2 composers
this sounds so authentic to the Sonic CD style that I could entirely believe that you saw into another timeline and found the R2 theme
What's R2? I can't seem to find what you're talking about and I'm curious
R2 was the codename for a level that was intended for CD but ultimately cut (Palmtree Panic being R1 and Collision Chaos being R3)
@@theangrycolossal thanks man

I wish we could have listened more of it. But the project been dead for over 6/7 years.
This track sounds more US than Japan.
Savaged Regime is why I continue to enjoy youtube. I don't care about the big channels anymore. This is where the talent is.

this KICKS ASS!! you did such an excellent job at arranging this in the 90s sega style.
What a banger
You should work in sonic mania 2 alongside tee lopes, you guys would be sega next koshiro/kawashima
The issue is always that there's a gigantic stretch between being good at remixing and being good at composing.

so glad I stumbled upon this channel out of nowhere, insanely talented
Dude. I can't thumbs-up this hard enough. It's like tickling the nostalgia part of my brain in the best way. All I can say is, keep it up. 👍
All of your stuff is always mixed so well, including this banger
Under Ground Zone, but it's Wacky Workbench?
Sign me up cap!
This is an absolute masterpiece dude!!
Now I wish they would develop a Sonic CD 2 ...
Sonic DVD, coming to you in 1999!
Sonic Blu-Ray, popping out in 2008!
Sonic CD-i
SR does everything right
oh my Glob this feels so Sonic CD - please tell me you've done more Sonic 2 Master System mixes in the style of CD because this was delicious!!!
Nah, the reason it sounds so similar is the same composers for sonic cd did sonic 2 gg/ms
Having played Sonic CD, I now appreciate the Wacky Workbench instrumentation.
Holy shit this slaps so hard. Amazing job on this
Brilliant work for doing this!
Sounds very clean, great work!
I freakin’ love your work, man.
Liking this new style for the videos! As well as a bopping remix!

Incredible work.
This song gives me a Sonic CD vibe

Loving these CD styled remixes!
Mining Up, Boiling Down! - For Underground (Classic) - Sonic Generations 2 OST
This is actually better than the official remix by Tee Lopes and Jun Senoue.
Great piece!

Koshiro didn't compose this game. Was Sonic CD people

Sweet sounds like a Sonic Mania remix
Kind of sounds more like something out of Sonic CD (JP/PAL) especially when you listen to Wacky Workbench Present.
I like to think of this as Underground Zone Act 2 because Tee Lopes already did his remix
