I taught myself how to solder and I have had a lot of learning mistakes on my curve and you explain things so easily that I have learned so much just from the few videos I've watched so far. Thank you so much for your easy application and instruction. I have so much paste solder and I get it everywhere and then nothing sticks and I end up having to pickle it and scrub it and start all over. I feel like hugging you I am so happy that I have figured out the things that have been puzzling me for so long. I have ADHD really bad so it's hard for me to pay attention to most UA-cam tutorials and yours have been not only the best but the easiest to follow so far. Thank you so much for your videos. I'm so glad I subscribed yesterday.
I'm only at 3:35 into the video but I couldn't wait to comment on 2 things... tapping the dents so the balls don't roll away was clever but I was really impressed with your custom shaker container! That's AWESOME! 👍 Thanks for sharing your helpful tips. Cheers! 😊
Love this video, tips on getting those balls to STAY! And when you want to take it to the next level, fusing gold and advanced soldering that will clean it all up: "Soldering Demystified" by Jeanette K. Caines, the two books together make an excellent start to a library! Thanks for doing this Roberta!
May I respectfully suggest changing the title to ‘Soldering for a granulation LOOK’ as true granulation is fused and never soldered. Fusing granulation is commonly done with gum Arabic and used silver pickle (very blue with lots of copper oxides). Just a suggestion since this is a tutorial. You don’t want to give newbies inaccurate information or terminology.
You don't have to watch it if you don't like the way she teaches it. I happen to think that she is excellent at instruction. And whatever works is the point in the big picture.
I am a newbie jewelry rookie. Thank you for all your demos, tips and inspiration. I too love that cutout. Shape is beautiful. I am a long way from owning or deserving a 20 ton press. Someday. So purchasing a pancake die and punching them out is not an option. Is there a source where I can buy them?
Oh gosh I made this so long ago before I knew the difference! Actually a friend of mine called me on that and explained it to me - but you’re absolutely correct now that I’ve been corrected myself! On my list of videos to edit and reshare!

tammygurl64 making a center punch was introduced to me by Kate Ferrant Richbourg and the shaker my friend Ella Arey showed it!!! Isn’t that cool?!?
Great tutorial! i hope this will work adding silver balls to a ring also, but why not! thank you!
Thank you Roberta for taking the time to share this. Can't wait to try.
Great video, I loved the tips you give.
Awesome tutorial 👍
Thanks. This is a great tutorial. I hope it's as easy as you make it look.

Very helpful video. Could you provide more information about the soldering book and dvd ? I could not find it. Thanks
Coolio! Nice job! You'd mentioned you were going to address soldering onto a domed piece. Are you going to do a second video showing your way?
I went back and watched again, but didn't see that Roberta addressed doming the earring. Also, would love to see the finished earring.
Very cool, great job...from Chile
Thanks Berta! Nice video!❤

Thank you!
Very nice

Hello can you solder balls on silver alloy pendent.. Please xx
What is the name of the subscription box?
The paste solder isn't good to breathe in the fumes.
Larry Dallas I hate that. And the smoke burning off.
It's organic and is cadium free, so it's not toxic.
Did you attached the solder to the balls?
Yes she did
which tool are you using to mark the holes, thanks.
She did say the name of it before she punched the holes but I can't remember right at this moment, LOL but she did say what it's called
Thats not granulation.

@robertapihl76 why do people have to be so fckn rude about their comments or "suggestions "??? 😂
