Nasir Fard better known as Gillie Da Kid joins The Pivot for a conversation storying his life from being a young man in Philadelphia streets serving time in prison for armed robbery to being one of the original innovators in the podcast game and an OG in the rap game.
Most well known for his culture platform Million Dollarz Worth of Game, which he created with his cousin Wallo 267, Gillie shares how his objective was to always get out the streets and he was determined to make it. With hiccups along the way, Gillie says that going to college was one of the most transformative experiences in his life.
Gillie becomes emotional and opens up to Fred, Ryan, and Channing about the recent loss of his son, YNG Cheese, a well-known Philadelphia rapper. He says the loss of his son has left a black hole in his heart that could never be replicated. A trying time for Gillie and his family, and he admits that revenge is on his mind. However, with the help of his amazing support systems, he’s managed to keep his purpose first and chose to remain a role model for those within the community.
Philly native, it would be remiss if Ryan didn’t ask Gillie’s thoughts on if the Philadelphia Eagles will win the SuperBowl this year. Gillie assures Ryan that they will and they have the best defense in the league.

I watched gillie signing up for the contract he looked worried and the uncertainty you can see it and then his son dead. For the sign up for the $100million contract. Like Kayne West his mother, Dre son , Eric Clapton son the list goes on just the greed of their selfishness to be where they are, and how can they even live with themselves that they can sacrifice someone they love 💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲

"In Islam, the preparation of a deceased body, known as "ghusl" or ritual washing, is an essential part of the funeral process. It's a deeply significant and sacred ritual where the body is cleansed and purified before burial. The person performing the ghusl must be of the same gender as the deceased and should ideally be someone familiar to the deceased or their family." "Gillie Da Kid, a practicing Muslim, faced the heart-wrenching task of washing his son's body after his passing. This is an incredibly challenging and emotionally taxing responsibility for any parent, regardless of religious beliefs. For Gillie, it was a moment where he felt the weight of true maturity and the transition into manhood. He expressed how he previously believed he was a man due to the responsibilities he shouldered, but this experience reshaped his understanding of what it truly means to be a man."

This was one of the best interviews I've watched of Gillie. He was so vulnerable and I respect and love him for that. My prayers are still with you and your family and I wish you an abundance of success and happiness cause you are truly the definition of an OG that's truly out to motivate and educate our youth!! THANK YOU GILLIE🥰

Thank you sooooo very much for this interview to every single one of you especially Gillie.... This needed to be said , this needed to be documented for the streets for the culture for American Africans for the world because the world is a ghetto 💯 🎶... I felt him when he said he became a man the day he washed his sons' body I lost at the time 06 my only two baby grands in a horrific auto crash almost lost their father my son then two month later my husband was shot 41 times both times I had to hold, kiss, and say see you later to people who are the world to me but the rest of the family needed and need me... Blessings and prayers to each one of you...

Man, what an emotional interview. This young man has been through it but praise God that he knew where his help was coming from. We as believers are never alone even on our darkest days. I love that he said he prayed every day for God to keep him from the evil one! That's a prayer we all need to pray because the evil one is real and always looking for someone to devour.
