Bought my CGA back in the early 80's for about 55 bucks. It was colored orange I guess for use by a drill team. I striped it back to it's natural finish. It is one of the best firing rifles that I own.
+Sky Patterson Dating one from the first two digits of the serial number only applies to Arsenal 26 built SKSs. I'm assuming 91 is the year based on what I have been told in SKS forums from collectors over the years.
vahsharo1980 as far as the price, that's a good deal for a SKS today. CGAs aren't as collectable military models, but at the same time, it's still a SKS. They are still collectable.

I see your video is 6yrs old. But i just bought my CGA SKS and am trying ot find out more about it? Thanks
Yooperj has a lot of info on their website. Don't know about now, but was once one of the best sources of info for sks rifles.
CGA, like Norinco is the exporter, not the manufacturer.
are you sure the 91 stands for 1991?....or is it part of the serial number. if it's part of the serial number that means it's a 1964 type-56
