It’s bad enough when people don’t help, but to punish someone who is helping is so much worse.
Yeah and for more on this subject may want to look up UA-camr Jake Tran on this subject and it''s way more messed up than this.
Imagine being a cop and wasting your time arresting somebody who's feeding the homeless.
Yeeah I bet someone feel stupid
We have so many kidnappings and prostitution and they are doing nothing
The officers were sent there and will be rewarded regardless of outcome...
Yeah, but he even said “PR nightmare”. Exposing a stupid law could POSSIBLY get it struck from the books eventually. 🤷🏼♂️
@@sec9788 Not as long as corporatist Republicans are running the show. Put Kari Lake in charge of the state and there will be arrests of people for walking and breathing.
How sad. What a lovely, generous lady.
This woman is a Legend. The USA NEEDS more people like her. Feeding the homeless is such a noble action. Well done Lady!!!
it should be noted that she is not a wealthy person. this is truly generous behavior at her own peril... and they arrested her... most people are saving and preparing for winter and much harder times.
@@jwn741 that's true
WOW, you need a permit to help someone.... what a great country.... such caring and compassion has never been seen
Unbelievable
And these people continue to quote Christianity - I am certain Christ did NOT have this scenario in mind...
@@smilesandyoka Luke 14:13-14
She isn't helping them. She is enabling them to be homeless. Giving lazy people food only promotes them to be lazier. Stop feeding the homeless and giving them things and see how fast they become not homeless.
Boy Jesus has to be on 🔥 about this situation and the country's behavior.
Sue the living daylights out of them. It's unconstitutional and outrageous
Yeah but that's the sad thing is it's her taxpayer dollars and everyone else's taxpayer dollars that are going to pay that suit. Our taxpayers basically pay the court fees for bad police
Imagine living your whole life pretending you have freedom
The one thing every town council asks is, please do not feed any panhandlers or beggars. What she did is outrageous and inconsiderate of those who want to use the park in peace
As dumb as it may seem... there's reasons why laws get placed...
The news isn't helping anything by spinning the story...she wasn't arrested for feeding people...they also didn't say she was immediately released after getting to the police station
She should have gotten the stupid permit
@@ac61900
Your a prime example why this Gonzo journalism has got to go....
Mostly because you don't know how to think for yourself....
The police are law enforcement not law makers....
???? Bad people just can't stand to see a good person doing nice things. It brings their bad instincts out in the open.
EXACTLY
Don't be ridiculous and grow up 🙄
Hero. Need more like her. Sue them and set the proper precedent.
Put her Behind Bars
It's likely expensive, hopefully an organization steps up for her.
Imagine in Arizona were you have some of the worst crime going on in America and arresting an old lady trippin
People don’t want their park becoming a homeless encampment where druggies wait for mom to bring them food…
People don't want Arizona looking like Los Angeles you f****** fool I've been homeless before and I've been in homeless missions and I say to stop f****** coddling them
@@Ty-vn3cu Maybe if y'all stopped with the demonization of the homeless and helped them through their problems via social programs, it wouldn't be an issue.
Seriously, America is such a self-centered nation.
@@danielhawthorn6639 Some people don't want to work they want to be homeless and tweak out. They would be working a job if they wanted to.
@@Ty-vn3cu Keep spreading that lie in every comment thread lol. Sad and evil. Police have more pressing issues to attend to.
Imagine offering her community service...WHEN THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT SHE WAS DOING.
😂😂 yup!
but she didn't pay the permit ... America, land of the fee
Exactly
@@Lordrazrs Yup. And home of the slave.
Also another big reason dressing up as a homeless isn't cool and wrong especially on Halloween and also is trivializing it. Another part you can look into is UA-cam channel Jake Tran about homelessness and also look up the topic Hostile Design.
Say what you will but arresting her was plain wrong. The officers should have explained the law to her.
But u have to think about the officer life he could lose his job and all
@@realitywave bro u didn’t watch he didn’t abuse her he didn’t cuff her at all he thought it was dumb but he has a family so he just gon lose his job so he can’t provide for them no he didn’t want to arrest her but had to for his job for his family
@@mte_aiden officers use discretion in who they arrest all the time. She is poor so they think it's easy picking. That's our society predatory.
@@mte_aiden Well, if I was an officer in such a force, I would rather resign. Arent they supposed to serve and protect? What are they serving and who are they protecting by arresting her?
@@mte_aiden that's just blowing things out of proportion, a simple situation of a misunderstanding like this, won't result in the officer losing their job and sht.
Are picnics legal in that park? Then just say “I’M HAVING A PICNIC”
And yes - Jesus said FEED THE POOR!
@Nuby ...cops are allowed to lie in their daily duties - so how is 2 different rules for cops/civilians have anything to do with honesty or integrity? yeah, thought so
_He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse._ - Proverbs 28:27
@Nuby Cops are completely allowed to lie to the public.
@Nuby ok,Barney Fife
@Nuby A statement given under those circumstances is not under oath, so your assertion is not correct on that basis alone.
What a great heart she has.We all need to stand behind her!!! This world needs more angels like her. She is blessed
Blessed and scared of future arrest lol
@@constantinvaldor3742 Can you explain why that's funny?
@@pa5666 I'm British 🇬🇧
does that mean if you cut your cookie in half in public you can technically be arrested?
In that area yes
@@megclifton6692 wow! so wrong.
Imagine being a cop and actually doing this … this lady is doing what we should all be doing “ helping others”
The officer called his supervisor who ordered him to arrest her. His sergeant made a poor decision.
The officer even told his supervisor it was going to be a PR nightmare. The supervisor specifically told the officer to turn off speakerphone to keep his side of the conversation off the bodycam.
This is why people say ACAB the cop may be a good person but he has to follow order no matter what they are.
Mindless, illogical laws. Too many of these stupid laws in the United States. And to think they claim to be free? What a joke.
In Australia, she’d have been commended for her charity.
Or she'd be in a concentration camp, if she isn't boosted
Australia is a police state - who are you kidding? They dragged off a pregnant lady during Covid because she was participating in a protest on FB.
The wicked arrested Christ.. this world is falling into destruction fast
@Matthew Nada
Ha exactly
I think they need to get rid of that ordinance how can feeding some people be against the law you people are ignorant and don’t give a crap about no one
No good deed goes unpunished
This is terrible she is a great person helping people that need food some day they might need food or something then they would see it's terrible being out there living in boxes or under bridges a lot going on now that people need to be thankful their are good hearted people like her leave them alone they are angels from God
If you think that's messed up there's something even worse which you can look up Jake Tran about this issue on homelessness and Google and UA-cam hostile design and laws criminalizing this as well since that wasn't the only 1 there is.
It’s against the the pursuit of happiness. Eating peacefully or feeding others starving should be under that.
Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't she already performing a service to the community by helping those in the community in need which is what they arrested her for? And the punishment for that service to the community is for the court to order her to perform the same sort of service for which she was arrested? What sort of twisted logic is that? If that alone doesn't show how stupid that ordinance is, then nothing will.
Totally agree with you. What we have here is too many nonsensical laws that defies good nature and logic. We may ask: Is a country truly free if everything is criminalized?
Does a person in that city also need a permit to have a picnic in the park with food? to have a birthday party or a holiday celebration that serves food and invite anyone to join? Where's the line? Seems pretty subjective to me.
How do officials become so mean ?
Demon possessed
Our country is becoming a sad State. Rather starve people, then let others help feed people in need. Unfknbelievable!
maybe we should start paying a lot more attention to who we put in the positions of making the laws
Exactly!!!!
That's crazy. How sad. What a shame. Bless that sweet lady, she has such a beautiful heart. Hope she wins ❤️
aw
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)
You know we're in perilous times when helping the poor is a crime
You said it!!
Because the city government receives federal money for homeless projects. Just follow the money trail of local politicians who are getting their free coffee from... Disrupts their cash-flow, they come fighting.
She’s arrested for doing community service right
Yes, and the proposed punishment for doing that community service is to order her to do community service, exactly what she was arrested for. Does that mean she will be arrested for THAT community service as well?
Can't she just say they're all her friends ?
Sue Sue Use the Law Suit settlement to Buy the Food to Feed the Homeless
Sounds like this city would just rather have the homeless eat out of dumpsters I'm pretty sure Grandma's food is safer🍗🍔🥕🥧 or 🗑
You did what God called you to do God will take care of us
Outrageous
The current justice system reminds me of antibiotics. It 'kills' both good and bad.
Well said
The officer need to be commended for knowing what he was doing was wrong and voicing it to dispatch .
I support all forms of kindness
Anything happens to her legally . Good luck Arizona
That's completely ridiculous!! The Bible says to help the poor
You go Grandma you are Mother Teresa your God to me
How sad you people will get punished. God Bless You sweet lady. You keep on helping God has you. But the system is terrible.
Common sense laws and enforcement dying a little more with this nonsense.
WTF really? A permit is needed. Philadelphia USA
Those people need to feel how it’s like to have an empty stomach.
The country of plenty has hungry and homeless people, and in places those who are willing to help are arrested or jailed.
Unfortunately America is known as Incarceration Nation. Shamefully this “free” country has the highest incarceration rate in the world. Even more than “unfree” China.
Shame on the police!
Job 9:24 the earth is given into the hands of the wicked
Those particular officers were sent.
The U.S. is far from a free country that's for sure... When you can't even share food in a public park without a permit we have absolutely failed as a country period...
So many Senior Arizonans are going to jail for helping people.. doing what they think is the right thing...
LEAVE Grandma alone !!
Really a old lady helping people???
The person who did that should be Ashamed and thrown in the clink for stupidity and disrespecting their elders.
How disgraceful
WoW... Sad!! Bless her 🙏❤️
The city needs sued,it was stupid they asked for this and they knew it.
What has this World become. You can't feed the hungry.
Bless her soul 🙏 ❤️
Imagine being arrested for being a nice person and helping people who can't afford food. This world gets colder and colder everyday. Makes me lose hope for mankind.
Don’t lose hope. Prayer can turn things around. We are in a vicious undeclared war between good and evil. Can’t you see it ? They have come out of their secret hiding places only to fall into the hands and judgement of almighty God. The world belongs to Him.
Why do you pray ? It won’t change a thing. Fight to change that ordinance.

this is a very sad of how low down these city laws are no dam reason espcially a old nice lady that's being outstanding citizen in her community
My parents live there and they feed the homeless all the time- I’d be furious if they got arrested because the city didn’t get their cut
She is obeying the most v important law. To love others as you would yurselvef.
How do I send her and the lawyer money? Bs
This is the country that was founded on “Christian values”. Yet ignores all the great things that religion has to offer.
Since Arizona can’t take care of their homeless people, shouldn’t this woman get $$$ for doing something the state can’t do!? 🙄
-Yet all she’s asking for is permission to continue.
Just like North Korea. You can get arrested for anything smh.
Plot twist : The cop was once a homeless person and the lady didn't gave him food.
God bless her and all the people who help the less fortunate 🙏🏻
And yet actual criminals are let loose. Amazing...
It's humiliating enough being American these days without the bar dropping this this low.
I may understand the prepackaged food thing, but at most, it should have been a warning, *NEVER* an arrest.
Someone needs to resign for this insanity.
The prepackaged food is just a way for the city to make it harder for someone to do what she is doing, but pretend like they aren't actually limiting the activity. It's BS.
You mom said No.
Wtf? So feeding homeless people is crime now?
Should be
This is sick.
So sorry to here this🙏💙🙏
Get her fingerprints! Ridiculous! I wish I knew her address, I'd mail her a check!
Imagine living your whole life pretending you have freedom
AIN'T THAT SOME 🤬..
So she doesn’t have a permit for serving food to people experiencing homelessness WHATS THE BIG DEAL, the city should just grant her one. Arresting her is just another cruel way to further disenfranchise people who need those meals. Shame on those cops and that city for letting this arrest even happen.
This is another reason why people are done with the government. Common sense doesnt exist
The system is broken.
We should be able to feed anyone you want . just like war time when you couldn't share your food stamps to help another family. So sad. If she was feeding dogs it would be ok.
So sad 😞
Great lady. The police officer really did want to arrest her, and I could feel he was stressed. Good police work, bad policy. Let people feed the homeless if they want, less taxes! Make sense?
Gov't out of control
what's happened to our country?
Wonder if they would have arrested Jesus when he fed the homeless ?
Only if he didn't get a permit first...
Change NOW this situation is out of control
This must have been extremely embarrassing for the officers to arrest this woman after following the orders of the wicked in office. One said I’m bringing you right back here. They did not sign up for this.. As we pray, God will avenge us of all evil which is actually against him. No one gets away.
It's all about money. So sad. They say they worry about "public safety " but the last I heard, it is UNSAFE to go hungry.
Hilarious, but true! Amazing sense of humor just made my day.
This is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard of. Usually a crime hurts another party not helps another party. The person that wrote this ordinance should be thrown in jail for hurting other people.
"" SHE IS AN ANGEL AND GOING TO HEAVEN FOR THIS SO AMERICANS WAKE UP !!! ""🙏🙏❤️❤️😇😇👈
/Don't they have any real criminals in Arizona? Arresting grandma?
Wonder what they will do next? Run down to the local orphanage and kick over their lunch trays? How about drive down to the VA and rough up a few disabled veterans. These cops are despicable!!!
The judicial system is broken and is built to defend the criminals. It is an absolute shame what has transpired.
Unconstitutional? Whatever happened to common decency? Morality? Basic ethics?
Yall still don't get it. For the top to be covered in gold, the base must be in the dirt.
Worldwide pyramid scheme. Your welcome
Youre an angel you’ll definitely have a special place in heaven godbless your heart

Oh yes we can
@@hello-sz7hp no you can’t is it wrong to do Good, Jesus said help others no permits just love, and if I did what she did I be glad I was arrested for them and for Jesus.I wanna be seen guilty to man but not guilty to God.
