Today I'm unboxing the lovely Sylvanian Families / Calico Critters Bullrush Frog Family from 1991, a gift from my amazing husband.
In this video I also share a personal update, and I want to thank all of you for your kind words recently.

I would love if they rerelease the frogs. What a sweet gift from your husband, I am so sorry for your loss. I see someone already mentioned the name Lily (as in lily pad or water Lily), I like that name.

Lily is already the name of the bigger sister. She showed it on the bottom of the box 😆
@@tirzahmyers3392 I renamed my Sylvanians to names that I could remember, or which suited them depending on their look. I'm a good one for swapping clothes and making up whole new characters as well.
@@robincarey6341I know some people do that but I don’t think Kathy does. Regardless, I just think it’s funny that 2 people picked a name that was already the name of the sister. That’s all.
@@tirzahmyers3392 Well it's kind of an obvious choice really when you think about it, and I'd honestly forgotten the frog's individual names, I have difficulty keeping my friend's names right lol

So sorry i kjow what it feels like , my dad passed away in 2020 as well . I was 8 at the time but dont worry you'll make it through❤ also love the new addition to critterland😊😊

My husband has bad health issues, and my critters take me away from the stress of caregiving for a little while. They are a great distraction. So sorry for your loss,sending prayers your way ❤

I am sorry for your loss. I am so happy you are back. The frogs are my favorite family. I actually emailed Epoch and asked if they could re release them. I saw someone on eBay selling them. The description said that because they had yellow spots on them that it made them super rare. I messaged the seller to tell them that wasn't true that it was natural with time. They responded and said thank you but never changed the description. Oh well. Thank you for sharing this wonderful gift from your husband!!
Thank you! I have had similar experiences contacting eBay sellers, especially when they list non-Sylvanian items as Sylvanian, and only once did one make an update. There are some generic frog figures floating around listed as super rare Sylvanian’s - they are not. It really bugs me when sellers do that, it’s a matter of integrity, but it goes to show how important it is to research something before buying it. 😉
