Yeah I wouldn't have thought Input would control Output. Simple but impossible to guess.

@@BenRowlandsMusic Thanks to your recent videos I have an RC500 arriving tomorrow! I was originally looking at either the RC5 and RC10R but your super informative reviews have changed my mind. I've had an RC50, RC30, all the older RC20s and a few RC3s over the years too, but I'm pretty sure the RC500 will be a sound choice. Many thanks again!

Hi, is there a way to get the guitar recording out of Out B and the vocal recording out of Out A in order to send the first to the amp and the second to the vocal system?

thanks. got it working except I have two separate instruments going in A and B but cant figure out how to get them to output via their respective outputs. I can only send both live inputs to either A or both to B or both to A and B. trying to share the looper with a buddy with our respective amps but can only seem to send the loops (not the live playing) to each individual amp. any help would be loved
Hey Ben! Thanks so much for your great channel. Been following you for years since I started wich my RC-300 about six years ago. Now I have the RC-500 and a question.
Is it possible to route input a to output a and input b to output b? I don't think it is because in the input menu there is just "inst in" listed and not both inputs separately. But maybe I missed somehting. If not, what is the simplest way to make it work that I have my acoustic and my electric guitar and have them both connected to my RC-500 and but also have them routed to separate outputs so that my electric guitar will go to my amp and my acoustic to my PA. I would love to sometimes record a chord progression with my acoustic and loop it and than play over it with my electric without having to reconnect anything but also being as simple as possible.

For some reason, I changed T2 to OUTPUTB and when playing (even with INPUT set to output B, it comes out of both when playing. Only after recording, then playing back.

Is there a way to use TWO different instruments (bass+guitar) each coming out of their own output AND have only the click track going to my headphones (without being sent to the amplifiers) ?
Or would i have to link two RC500s together ? Or...?
Any advice how to connect this RC500 unit to the Boss GX100? I have connected the send return cables and placed the SEND/RETURN option in the effects chain. Sounds distant and a bit muddy.
If I program the drums through out put A can I just run that cable to an input in my audio interface? I don’t want the drums going thru guitar cab. Also, is the cable from the RC500 into the audio interface just an instrument cable? Or do I need to use a TRS cable? Thank you

I have Orange Rocker 32 stereo Amp.
When I connect the RC500 at the end of the fx loop, it barely receive any signal. With my amp, the only option to get stereo is ti use fx loop, send cable gies for example to dd200 delay, which connected to rc500 in stereo which end up with two cables to return a and return b to the amp. Without the looper it works perfect, with the looper it is not working, what do you think may be the reason?
How does the drum machine in RC-500 compare to the RC10r?
Hello, is something like this possible with the RC-10? I would like to have my guitar through input A and output A to my guitar amp and my bass go from input B through output B into a bass amp and have the drum tracks go through output B only so they play on my bass amp.

I am trying to connect a pair of headphones, but I can only get audio in their left speaker. Any way to fix this?
You'll need something that changes mono to stereo. Or a 1/4" left/right combiner that you can plug your headphones into. If you just plug into the RC-500 mono out, the headphones will only get left.
Do we lose stereo effects by splitting this way?
I think if you look in the manual there's a diagram that shows the click track running on it's own parallel track, so I don't *think* you lose stereo output (for the instruments and loops) if you have the click track output on only left or right. So far the machine seems smart enough to know what you want. I have the click track output on the left channel (to my studio monitors in the room) but NOT to the right track (the one that goes into my DAW-- so I can play with the drum machine but not have to record it) and it seems to work how you'd want.

@@alexfilmwriting Interestingly enough I am losing stereo effects from my loops / instruments if I split the outputs (it also says Mono on the back of the loop station?). Do you think I need to use a TRS cable?
@@mikebodulowmusic I think if you just have left or right out from the RC-500, you'll lose any pedal stereo effects from prior to the RC-500. You may have to go RC-500 out stereo, and then mix/split somehow. All my effects are mono so I haven't hit that yet.
Stated another way, I don't think putting a TRS cable in the mono out from the RC-500 would preserve the stereo, but i'd be curious to find out

I cant seem to get the drum variations to work? Its supposed to change from A to B automatically every measure of 4/4 right, if i have it set to 4/4 and "measure" ? I dont have an external footswitch by the way. Or am i supposed to program my track select button to be the button to switch?
drums are really quiet in my headphones when I set them to only come out of B. Any idea why or how to correct?

Idk why, but when I do this nothing comes out of output A. If I unplug the OUT cable from jack B, A works again. Once I plug in to both outputs, A goes back out! I’ve tried sending Rhythm out both A and B. Guitar in A, guitar out A then to amp. Rhythm out B to mixer. No audio to Amp. I have both my track channels set output to A and “Inst” set to “out A”. Can’t figure this out
