For those who don't know, the disease doesn't exactly cause deer to cannibalize. Rather, it's like Schizophrenia or bipolar disorder on steroids. The deer that was first found with the disease in 2019 lost all sense of reason, instinct, and fear of death.
Not to mention the suicide through starvation. It really has nothing zombie to it aside from the no fear.
Now if it mixes with Rabies on the other hand...
Well, that's a relief. If it becomes human-like, at least we won't get World War Z.
