engine on older Honda’s need to be running at 2000rpm minimum before charging system will bring a full charge. Nighthawks had this issue and Honda never corrected this, so if your in a lot of slow speed riding, use a lower gear to keep the rpm up. It’s just one of those things about this bike. You’ll notice the lights will increase in brightness when you increase your rpm.

When you checked your stator did it move about abit like it’s loose?
Good question , it should not move at all I believe !
I have a couple of those. Mine is having idle problems. Still trying to figure it out. I think the timing is out.
Where did you get the intake boots and air filter pods? Did you have to re-jet up once installed?
They come with the carburetors , look up Murray carbs
Is there any trick to getting that out mine if stuck and this is the only video where you have the same one
