Dimensionally yes, but only by about .010" per side (nominally). However from a process standpoint, we would like to believe that we are manufacturing our handguards to a higher precision than factory, such that the entire profile of the handguard is centered about the gasblock itself, ensuring that there is always an airgap between the factory gas block and our handguard.
Not exactly, this handguard was designed to specifically fit the SFAR barrel nut, it notched for the SFAR dust cover rod, and aligns perfectly with the SFAR 1913 top rail. It could potentially fit other AR's as the SFAR does use a milspec upper pattern, but we have not validated it for any fitments outside of SFAR. (sorry)
Wow your guys' sfar actually cycles like it should....if my sfar wasn't such a peice I'd buy this for it
Does this provide better/more gas block clearance than the factory's?

Are you going to make a shorter version to save weight?
Yes, you can expect to see them in production here very shortly. Thanks!
could i take the sfar rail and put it on a regular ar15?

@@hb_industries i have one with the barrel nut, im planning on putting it on a standered ar15 upper.
How much heavier is it than the stock handguard?
Our 16" handguards weigh 4-5oz more than factory handguards depending on which models/lengths/styles you are comparing.
NICE!! 👍
Good engineering
To.use existing dust cover pin to
Index the handguard.
