there's gotta be a lot of steps before the standing on his back.

@Majoofi there are, this is an advanced trick for dogs that already know that behavior. Just like a vault is an advanced trick for dogs that already know stall.

Super cool move! However, I think I need to learn the basic back stall first, but I have this as a favorite for later down the road! MAYBE??? Still a favorite even if I never do it!

      Right on! Thanks.
I just got one of your discs in the mail from Tracy Custer and like it's flight principles. I'm looking forward to getting permission to give it a try with some dogs as I would like to see how it holds up to dogs. I just want to make sure she's OK with it getting a bit torn up before I throw it to the wolves.
I'd like to pick up a few discs to try out. I would be happy to provide feedback and a review.
      Peace~

Hi, Ron. I did a seminar with you in Oregon a few years ago. I haven't been doing much disc dogging, after having had a table saw accident in 2012 and having broken two bones in my hand more recently. But I've always wanted a good dog catch and this move is something that Dodger and I could work on right away. I have watched this tutorial before but am really excited to see it again. Thanks!

This is incredible! In the future do you think you could do a video like this for a reverse chest vault? I'd love to be able to learn it!

At what age is it okay to train dogs to do more athletic things without hurting their joints, like especially puppies? I know breeds are different as well, so I am referring to a working aussie/border cross, they were bred for cattle, mine is not doing cattle, she will be doing service work so fitness is a must. Thanks.

18 months is a good rule of thumb. Make sure you get a good off switch installed for the Service Dog end of things...

Good tips, thank you. Right now we are trying to find the on switch-lol. No really she has shared some of herself, but she has no problem with the off switch. ;)
