I like the way Dr. Jon Stone, an FND expert in Edinburgh, Scotland, says that they are identifying risk factors, not causes, for FND. I have found that the best treatment is educating yourself and learning about FND. The second priority is to work on improving comorbid, pre-existing medical conditions. I have also found that FND is very similar to Mind Body Syndrome, aka Psychophysiological Disorder, and those practitioners are way ahead of FND practitioners in regard to already having effective treatments.
I have persistent palinopsia that happened after migraine with aura attacks but my brain MRIs show nothing. So I am wondering now if perhaps have an FND that started as a result of my migraines. The palinopsia is persistent but the migraine attacks I get once every 1-3 weeks. So it’s odd how this happened. It gradually got worse and worse over 6 months or so. So still have no idea what is going on with me. Going to start medication soon and hoping it goes away.
Ive been diagnosed with FND and complex migraine. Its rough! But after 4 years I'm finally figuring out how to accept it and adjust, rather than hoping I will just wake up one day and it will disappear, like how it started. Its so hard to explain FND to people because I barely understand myself. And then people think of migraine as only headaches, when mine look like mini strokes so no one understands that either.
I had a nueroligigits that said Bob you don't want to work 3 months later I was admitted to mass general hospital 11 days in the nueroligy floor all kinds of diagnosed they finally said that I have functional neurological disorder in my opinion they don't know much about it 2017 to the present I have a bad days walking my brain rewired itself to the wrong nerves and more
I had constant headache or migraine in the head 24/7 1998 months then it moved then CFS now it's in my upper body muscles years ime told it's migraine CFS with elements of fnd main thing are you hypermobile? Now diagnosed autism ADHD causation father has cfs
I have suffered from NDPH for almost two years, which have gotten progressively worse over time, on top of thst, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease almost a year ago. I was told that headaches are not a typical symptom of PD and to focus on headache relief, But neurologists focusing on using migraine meds and none have worked. I am intrigued about FND, as many of my symptoms seem to fit that classification. I am experiencing terrible balance and dizziness as well as blurred vision and think there is a relationship between my headaches and vestibular disorders. Need help on what my next steps should be.
What about an association with New Daily Perdidtent Headaches ???!&I have had a constant daily headache for almost two years and the MD’s treat with migraine meds, no nevof which have done a thing to refuce no less LI llikinate my headaches.
Mine feels more like a brain pain than a headache. Sharper and doesn't last long but happens more frequently when I overdo it physically and/or mentally.

What were your fnd symptoms?
Can TMS be a therapy for FND? What about Hypnotherapy?
Fnd is related to ocd to and most have autism albeit alot undiagnosed as myself😊
Meaning OCD is a symptom of FND?
