It depends on the thickness of the piping and not on Italy. There should be a pipe over 2" so that it doesn't get clogged. There is usually up to 2" half of which is clogged with calcium.
Just one thing (in my "google-eng", sorry), the parquet floor is not a sort of "international taste" but it's very common in all Rome districts, especially in the bourgeois palaces (and the oldest ones, not this, are not even glued but interlocked); to be honest that's true for the fireplace also. Anyway it doesn't really matter, congratulations, I hope you have good time here.
This place makes me feel claustrophobic as it is so small. What I hate the most is no closets, no balcony, no dryer, no real comforts of home. And I am sure it comes at a high cost. Is this for sale or rent? Lastly, if you are going to present these places for sale or rent, make sure you have the right sales people.
