Awe say it ain't so! The writers need to fix this between Elliott and Kat for next season...way too sad...and any way Elliott loves Kat way too much for him to say those things to her...absolutely love this series and so much looking forward to next season...
I love these two, so this broke my heart to watch. I really hope they find there way back to each other again. They deserve to end up together, especially after all they’ve been through.
I think in time he’ll realize he can choose his own path and still be with Kat. The two of them kinda have a magnetic quality about them, and can’t help but be drawn back to the other imo.
@@ILikeTheseShows I agree with you. That given time he’ll realize that his fate isn’t decided by the past or the pond anymore. So if he wants Kat he can have her while still supporting her quest to find Jacob because she will need him now more than ever before as she enters uncharted waters. In fact, I think Kat is going to need all her family members well except Brady, but definitely need to clue in Del on the pond and time travel if she doesn’t already know or has been leading them. I’m still not entirely sure if she doesn’t have her own secrets. I’m also not sure if Elliot isn’t in on Del’s secret knowledge about the pond. Remember the episode 1.5 when Del told Elliot to play the long game. Was it really just friendly advice or was it more. This show has me seeing twist and turns in the shows plot everywhere and from what I’ve been reading from other comments I’m not the only one. Though so far I’ve been wrong and surprised with where the twists in the plot have gone.
Perfect... I am totally happy & proud of Elliot... Why should he be a plan B for Kat? She had her way, enjoyed her choice & got burned & drained off... Now she wants Elliot...
I completely agree to be fair she was just a kid back then but in the end she chose the jerk instead of the best friend that was always there for her and now 20 years later Elliot says he needs to start a new chapter and she says she can’t understand that.
What ever Elliot said is true.... And he did take the right decision... Need to give him a chance... Let him have no regards... Let him fly... If its to be they will get back together....
I’m the same way. I know why Elliot did what he did and said what he said, but he is just feeling the rush of emotions at having 20 years waiting for events to happen with the whole time thing that he doesn’t know who his. All he needs is time to figure that out and he could have asked Kat for that time in this scene. He could have told her he loves her and he always has and always will. That he would do and has done everything for her and for Alice and that won’t change. He just needs to find who he is now that his part in the past/present thing is over and if they take it slow because they are different people who need to find how out what their present is and what their future could be. Either that or Del (once she’s clued in on what has been happening with the pond and the time traveling) Kat tells Alice and Del about what Elliot said I can see Alice feeling guilty about how she treated and reacted in the first meeting with Elliot and wanting to change his mind. While Del will be sympathetic and give Kat the same advice she gave Elliot to play the long game and that Kat and Elliot’s relationship and how he looks at her (Kat) is how Cole would always look at her (Del). Or (Del) “if you truly love him let him go…” (Kat) “…and if he returns. It was always meant to be.” Or something like that. I hope you get what I’m trying to say.
As much as this scene hurt it was needed because Kat is about to immerse herself back into all things the past going to 1814 and Elliot said he wants no parts so this to me was the right thing to do for now.
Elliot did her mad dirty here. He better be ready to fight tooth and nail to rebuild the trust with Kat. And I fully get if she is guarded and cold next season with him starting out if he just pops up again expecting things to be the same post ealking out on her just like her ex did.
I hope in season 2, Kat and Elliott will can back together again. And, I hope that Evan (Elliott), Sadie (Alice), and Alex (Teen Kat) can do a Hallmark Channel movie before season 2 of The Way Home starts filming.
I’m completely heartbroken by this scene. Please don’t let Kat and Elliot’s relationship end this way.
What really made this scene sadder than it was is the cover of Time After Time playing in the background 😭

I was watching this on Amazon my subscription to hallmark now and now I couldn't finish the season cause they stopped playing them after episode 8
