He honestly did this couple years ago with a man who was domestic abuse victim. He simply let his audience laugh at this guy and chastised him in front of his abuser, when this victim tried to leave he blackmailed him to sit and take the psychological trauma or he'll face fines and prison time.

She didn't make a "mistake". She stood up for herself when a few members in the audience laughed at her. Dr. Phil than felt threatened and exposed and decided to boot the poor girl off stage instead of really trying to help her. He WAS using her as a spectacle for his braindead audience...
Good grief, he is grade A gaslighter and manipulator. They were indeed laughing at her and she was hurt not abusive in her reaction. She is very young and vulnerable, hence her predicament. And his phrase 'Im just not into melodrama' made me laugh out loud.
I’m a male and I seem to have some of the same problems and delusions that bailey has. I can tell that shes actually subconsciously aware of her delusions and is somewhat embarrassed which actually caused her feel shamed when the audience was laughing at her. She was being laughed at and in return she felt the need to respond in the moment, but in a way she thought was non offensive and in passing. So I can tell she didn’t mean to offend and was completely caught of guard with the way Dr. Phil responded by telling her to leave. I didn’t get the vibe that she was “intentionally” (for lack of a better word) being disrespectful but if she came out that way she genuinely didn’t mean for it to come off like that. I can also see that she listens when someone speaks out about her attitude and in return tries to over correct hold herself accountable. I also noticed that she is very smart but has a tough time letting out her emotions which cause them to build up. Even in the moment of talking to the woman she stalked Bailey didn’t know how to deal with her emotions. Sometimes this inability to cope with emotions and reality can cause obsessive behavior. Above all things she also seems to struggle with explaining to others about how she feels. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s often misunderstood by the people around her. Dr. Phil essentially handled the situation the opposite of how a professional should. He took her comments, throughout the entire episode, at a face and personal value instead of understanding the psychology behind the way she was thinking and acting.

Let me get this straight: a woman comes into your office, you find out she has schizophrenia, you start calling out the absurdity of her clinical delusions, a bunch of strangers in your office then starts laughing at her and her mental illness, there are also cameras, the woman gets upset by her mental illness being used for entertainment, spectacle, and humor, and your response in this situation as a formerly licensed mental health professional is to shame the patient and kick her out? @@sofiaafsirius500 You're creating a strawman argument. I did not question Dr. Phil's knowledge about narcissism nor did I question his education at any point. However, his education is different from mine as I am a forensic psychiatrist, not a psychologist that hosts a TV show which has the mere purpose of self-adulation. Therefore, you cannot compare our development. To get back on topic, Dr. Phil meets many criteria of a typical narcissist when I analyze his behavior, body language and assertions. What makes you think that you know more than most people with a degree within the psychiatric field? Do you have any empirical data for such a bold claim or isn't it rather solely your personal opinion - which is prone to faultiness? Diagnosing a narcissistic personality disorder is no easy endeavour because it shares characteristics of different disorders, some of which express the same symptoms but are part of a mental disease. I have worked with hundreds of patients that denied their diagnosis with the excuse that they'd know better due to personal experience. However, personal experience is not an indicator for your proficiency in terms of recognizing personality disorders within your social environment. Assigning yourself the ability to do so is careless and dangerous.

I know 😭 she handled it so maturely and respectfully, and her apology was a great example of interpersonal effectiveness. She came for help for something that was broadcasted publicly, in a way that portrayed her as "crazy" and just negatively in general. The way the show portrayed her made her super vulnerable to being judged by thousands of people she doesn't even know, based only on how the show was handled. It was humiliating, and her behavior was clearly an emotional reaction to the frankly distressing experience of being humiliated in real time. And it was clear that she NEVER intended to come off the way Dr. Phil was characterizing. Everything she said seemed misunderstood and distorted into something more negative than it truly was. He was so hostile and ready to jump at any opportunity to upbraid her and invalidate her words/actions as "manipulation" or "living in fantasy land." She didn’t make any mistakes! That’s the whole point. She offended no one other than this bald senior. His whole show is about exploiting people with problems for views. He didn’t want people to feel bad about her because he had already made up his mind about how much he disliked being told what to do on his show especially if it came from someone he didn’t respect. He clearly knows he’s the almighty on his show and if anyone “offends” him or doesn’t anything he finds offensive he will punish them 100x more. He felt as though she disrespected him and embarrassed him in front of an audience because he wants to be seen as mr Macho powerful nobody-is-above me can’t question me, end of the discussion.

The audience WAS ridiculing her. He was a complete jerk in not allowing her to apologize and move on.
Dr.P is a fraud and a scammer. He is all about the ratings and the public opinion.
I've seen him take the sides of cheaters and put blame on the cheated. I've seen him champion the trans community and chastise anyone against it and now suddenly he's on the oppositions side.
It's amazing how many people can't see through this, she is so transparent. Also he DID help her by being the first person in her life not to enable her narcissism.
The fact that she apologizes nicely, but he still sends her home is absurd,I've seen way worse guests,DC Phil is not who we thought he was.
Imagine the poor girl going back how he made her feel,I'm shure it messed her up,DC has a big ego.
He is who I thought he was
1:13 her starting to “cry” until he calls her manipulative and she all of a sudden drops the fake crying… ya, that’s a manipulation tactic and probably one she uses often. I think he was right to end the conversation with her.
Actually that’s something that horrendously abused females do…..especially those raised/abused by narcissists. Men like Dr. Phil who dismiss their pain by calling them “crocodile tears” make it a thousand times worse. Don’t be surprised to find out she has Asperger’s.
That time stamp is way off.
She shouldn't have apologized to him when *HE* was the one who gave a big blow to her self esteem. Keeping aside the issues she was already going through, it's still going to take a lot of time to recover from it. This is so messed up.
Ikr! Well..older wise people make mistakes too. They don't understand most of the time..even though dr phil is a good person like he does help people.
Damn, poor girl. Dr. Phil seems to get off as being a bully. She was so calm and polite. I wish someone would have stood up for her.
U watched a 2 minute clip and you already drawing conclusions?
@@pugthepug7910 lol the video speaks for itself. Dude is an asshat. He didn’t have to treat that girl the way he did. Don’t know what you’re watching, but you’re delusional
@@pugthepug7910 They said the word "seem" - Learn the importance of words.
Maybe someone did and they cut it out
She called him out to the truth, this 'doctor' is exactly that a spectacle to make some money and he's worried when people dont play his game 🤣
