jjones202197 I love this so much. I know how your mother felt. Because I was also that mother. You was probably the only person who kept your mother alive and didn't even know it. I know there was so many times my daughter saved me and she doesn't even know it yet.
I have been through something similar. Its important to see that its not them. its the drugs. they take a hold of people. no mother would willingly give up on their own child and abandon them. thats how i feel anyway.
@@destinytempalski3607 uh...many mothers willingly do that all the time. “Rise. It’s time. This moment has been a long time coming. You know that you’ve been chosen. You know you can’t keep running. Stop spinning in circles and start believing in the magic, of who you are meant to be. Spread your wings, and don’t forget to take flight. You’ve been growing them stronger since the start of your life. You only get one chance at this; so honey, let’s get it right. You have the power inside you to soar. Don’t ever give up the fight. Dig down deep and find it inside; all of this power you’ve taught yourself how to hide. Call it to the surface. It’s right there, in your mind. Only you can fulfill your destiny and purpose. Brave girl, it is time to fly.“

Yes it is timeless, but it does not mean victory. The song never claimed to get her lover back. She probably had to move on to someone who might feel the same way about her.
I've actually been wanting to make a metal/hard rock cover of this with my band. It's definitely raw and emotional and I've always had nothing but pure respect for this song.
As a singer and guitarist, this is my go to song when I really want to tell a certain someone something I will never give them the pleasure of hearing. I scream with you Melissa!!! Thank you!!! Much love everyone! ❤

I dare my man to find another woman who could walk across fire for him, unburnt. It's not going to happen. But he's a man that doesn't understand...... I love him, but I'm really beginning to feel sorry for him, he won't understand what he's losing until it's too late. And yes, I love this song. I wish more people understood what true love is..... I don't reply to comments. Think for yourself.
I dont reply to people's comments either. But, i really liked what u wrote. Myself feels the same way towards my husband. Yes i love him. My eye's are wide open now because of the pain he has caused. Im starting to look at him differently and feel sorry for him. I do pray for him. But, he keeps taking advantage and he soon will know what its like to be Alone.
I love this song. I auditioned for Alamogordo Idol in NM singing this song and ended winning the competition. Thanks Melissa Ethridge, I love to sing this song whenever I have the opprotunity.......

She totally rocks 🎸!
Kinda forgot how deeply kick-ass this is... Like, fully covered in goosebumps, kick-ass... ❤️ You go, Miss Melissa
I loved this when I was 20 and just a college kid, but it hits different when I'm 45 and actually living the lyrics..
I love this song!
Think for yourself.
morghannadelacroix love is not pity.
morghannadelacroix what happened
Omg that's too fcking funny!!! Holy shit lol!
morghannadelacroix like they say, stupid people don't know what they have got till it's gone.
