Last years “trapping flairs ranch” series was 🔥 the amount of videos, the length of the videos, I hope to see something like that in March when you get back out there
I like the bridger 220. They used to be Northwoods. My cousin & I caught some beaver (nice sized) on stream bank beaver pocket sets with them long ago. Those were original northwoods, surely 7"×7" atleast. I think 8"×8" double spring & damn strong too. No dams, huts or lodges to be found, but we would see them traveling through. Pockets just above the water line on steep creek banks. Coon, mink, muskrat beaver & otter were even possible ,but there were no otter. No trouble fitting or killing larger beaver & coon. They were always on a drowner incase.
have fun with 330 ice fishin for your birthday catch a giant walleye .nice skunk .i caught a pure white one only had black toes last week before our snow storm.going to get it tanned
Those Skunks are terrible when you kill them, they make a horrible stink! It is mind boggling to me when I shoot the Skunks in the head in live cage traps at 1 foot from the barrel of a 22 LR and they still spray their skink all over. I even tried to shoot a Skink in the head in the live trap in the head with the AR 15 in 9 mm and that Skunk still let loose its stink. I thought by using the 9 mm fired from a 16 inch barrel the bullet going full length of the Skunk from head to out the rear would stop all the Skunks nerves on the spot, but it didn't work that way. The 9mm 147 grain hollow point made a 3-inch hole in the skunks left hind end.
A few techniques I've heard of: in cages you can cover the cage with an old towel then drown em, also hear that sometimes lung shooting skunks can help them from spraying. I caught my first one in a dp this week and he didn't spray after my hs but i think that's maybe cause he emptied the tank already. Would've loved to tan it but i didn't particularly wanna haul his stanky butt anywhere in my car 🤢
@@stephenzimmerman193 I have shot these skunks in all areas of the body and brain shots with every time they stink up the place. The 9 mm from a 16 inch barrel hammers the Skunks and that didn't stop the Skunks for spraying their stink. The cage drowning would work but I couldn't do that. I nearly drown in a boat accident, so I know the pain of inhaling water. The 22 LR to the brain kills the skunks instantly and I used a CCI 22 LR load that fragments the bullet into 4 segments.
@@Lure-Benson we don't have many here, I've seen a few but they're not super prevalent. They are further south it seems, but I just don't see many, and I've never trapped one

They have syringes that go on a stick, most serious skunk guys dispatch chemically
@@Northwoods208 Of the skinks didn't stink so bad I could make caps out of them then sell the caps in Moldova or Romania where I live often
