In case you couldn't tell, I love these machines. Brother didn't sponsor this, I just really like them. I'm kind of a sucker for sticker making though, so that's an easy way into my heart.
Here's a question for you. If this thing can scan my drawing and trace it PERFECTLY, why can't any of the lasers with cameras in them scan and cut perfectly? Seems like the lasers are always off by a little bit. Is there a patent or something on perfect scanning/tracing?
Making a software that can recognise drawings and making clean lines out of it is not a trivial problem.
@@MadDeuceJuice Should be. We are talking about scan, vectorize outline , then clean up vector. These were trivial tasks decades ago for a home computer.
@Abra K Vavra it is designed to be used without any other machine, you can cut designs right from the machine apparently

At first I didn't understand how the "cordless" thing worked having only used my Cricut with its cartridges and the only thing that I am looking forward to is being able to buy stamps without coordinating dies and then being able to cut them out. Do I need a laptop to run this machine I'm very new at all this I don't know anything about it. I bought a five layer stencil download from a stencil store. And I want to be able to print it and cut it so I'm curious of how I would go about that with this machine?

Love brother scan and cut but one thing I dislike is sometimes with a new product their touch screen becomes smaller
I think you can leave out the white border by selecting a different size but I still want to make sure before I invest. Can you please let me know 💖
@@cocoscabana thank you! I realized that and bought my own! I have sdx 125 tho. Having some trouble cutting stickers still. They don't cut straight even after I put a black outline. I don't understand what the prob is. I made smoothness high too

I bought this printer ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 to replace an aging HP printer. It is just used for casual home printing so I don't need anything more. Installation went easily though the HP Smart Printing doesn't work well with our laptops - having to select the actual device. Will have to see how the HP Instant Ink program works out. Plus haven't been able to set up printing from smartphone yet - either direct or WiFi
