Amazing!! I just replaced the one on the driver side of my rogue, it was a royal pain!! I didn’t know that you could remove the knuckle to make it easier, it took me a lot to remove the bolts because of the axle being on the way, tighten then was even worse!! I got it done tho, today I’m doing the other side just like you did, THANK YOU for this video, yesterday took me about 2 hours, this way would be at the most an hour!!

how do u confirm if noise is from bearing instead of outer cv before u take it apart?
Nissan wheel bearings must be junk.

Only thing I would change is not taking the shock loose, now you need a $80 wheel alignment. Pust the axle back and use swivel socket and extention.
There is about 1 to 2 mm worth of camber movement on the Nissans. So if camber is off on a Nissan in the front it just means something is bent. I do understand what you mean and that would apply to vehicles that have camber ajusting bolts at the strut. However Nissans do not. Thanks for subscribing.
exactly how I do it..there's is enough room with an extension..I jack the spindle up so the axle slides back..if it hangs it doesn't have enough play but if you raise it up it slides back at least 4 inches..

@@Autofixpals hey bud, love the vids you do make it look smooth, got a question I've got a 08 Nissan rogue SL AWD just within the last few days I'm getting a violent shake at 40+ checked the swayz still attached to the knuckle can move by hand so sways are a lil easy to move, tie rods are good, and it does shake sometimes when I let off the gas but not all the time things got me stomped could the CV axle just start wobbling over time thanks for your vids n time thanks

Everyone do exactly what he did in this video I just did a wheel bearing in less than an hour that was eight years old completely rust welded together doing exactly what he did in this video and I can verify that his little trick was bending the wheel bearing in the back so you don’t have to remove the ABS sensor works 100%
Good info like this make the internet worthwhile. Just changed a hub, two lower c-arms and links on a 2010. Those sensors NEVER will come out after a couple years of salty winters. Excellent tip and saves the customer from buying a $400+ sensor.

So unprofessional work I guess. You could break brake hose, then you couldn't get abs sensor so you have to bend new part so as not to break abs sensor. I would allow you to fix my car :)
lets charge the customer an extra 130 dollars for an ABS sensor because I didn't have the ability to think outside the box and bend a piece of thin metal that's only designed to keep out dust and debris. How about I have the customers car overnight while I soak the ABS sensor in penetrating oil and hope that it comes out the next day (what if it doesn't?). Nope, i am just going to get it done and it wont come back for anything related to the wheel bearing repair. That I guarantee!
As for the hanging of the caliper. Well sure I could have hung it from the strut and to be honest when I first started fixing cars that's what I used to do. But I would always see co-workers that have been fixing cars for a long time just let them hang by the hose and they never EVER had any issues (this was going back maybe 16+ years ago) with hoses rupturing or clogging up. So maybe I picked up a bad habit or the brake hoses are not as fragile as we have been told. In my 20+ years of fixing cars I have not had a single issue with a brake hose as a result of a caliper hanging un-supported. However I would never do that on anything but small SUV's and cars. I absolutely hang the calipers on Trucks. They are just too damn heavy.
Should you hang calipers when doing front end work? Maybe, Sure it wouldn't hurt. Some people believe that you should grease the back of brake pads when doing brake jobs. But i dont see any New cars coming from the factory with grease on the back of the pads. Some folks believe you should not test injector circuits with anything but noid lights (de-bunked many times over), many, many, many things people say you shouldn't do when working on cars. Some true some maybe not so true.
Last quarter my Fix it right the first time score was 100%. I think i do a damn good job, my employer thinks I do a good job, and so do the customers that sometimes request that I personally work on their vehicle. Will I hang calipers in the future? Yes if I feel like they are too heavy Otherwise probably not. The brake hose can withstand all that pressure that braking requires (as much as 2000psi) but it cant support a 5 to 10 pound caliper from an Altima or Rogue? That just doesn't seem to make since to me.. I could be wrong but all i have is over 20 years of experience to go on.
