    Ive played over 40 years and that solo during Stapleton's song was among the few best Ive ever heard in my life. I had to watch the credits to see just who this player was . Tone, guitar, amp, note selection, style, etc. was perfection. Nothing sweeter than a good strat. Great job Brother, that was the highlight of the entire show. Awesome player. I'm jealous. 😁

    That opening piece is really indescribable, and what sets pro players apart from the rest of us mere purveyors of an idea of musicianship. In terms of touch, imagination, and tone, there are only a select few who can pull that sound out of an instrument and have it almost ubiquitous no matter the make, model, year, pickup configuration, wood combination, yada yada yada. Jedd, Uncle Larry, and number of others are just on another plane. I just listen with pure enjoyment when I'm surprised with unexpected twists and turns.
    By the way, that strat tone is unlike anything I can recall. Is it a Strat tone? Beautiful!

    Jedd, Just watching this JITS video now, for the second time. So, of course, I had to pull up on UA-cam, that VG Tribute, Chris Stapleton "Whenever You Come Around", performance. Two quick observations. First, you nailed it. Loved your use of the whammy bar, which is particularly interesting because I don't recall ever seeing VG use one. Beautiful! Second, you might wanna take a look at the video. Did you realize that the moment you broke into your solo, Vince leaned over to get a proper view, and stayed focused on you until you wrapped it up? Check it out. Very cool moment.

    What an adorable kid! Looks like one of them is feeling better. The strat really does sound great. I also have a blonde strat that is my only one. The best thing I've ever done for it was to switch the middle tone control to the bridge. Pretty simple mod that made a big difference.

    I'm curious about your thoughts on pickup height for strats. The factory recommendations for pickup height place the pickups way too high and close to the strings in my opinion. You seem to have yours nice and low on this guitar.

    • @JeddHughesOfficial
      @JeddHughesOfficial  Рік тому +1

      Hey Ian, I constantly adjust those things, I do try to get the bridge pickup as high as I can without it getting in the way and then I balance the rest accordingly. Hope that helps?
