I inherited a uke from my dad...I remember him playing it when I was a kid..thankyou for making my first steps as a learner less scary and more fun than I thought it would be...you obviously understand what its like to pick something up for the first time and your teaching style is really user friendly!! :-)

Bought a soprano ukulele last week and now realised it is not a toy, really enjoying your tutorials Cynthia you make it fun to try to play along. Might have to get a bigger one now.
this video is so good and thorough! The first song on the ukulele I've learnt. I downloaded the video on my phone, cut it into pieces, slowed some parts down until I could keep up. Everything I needed over two months within just one take! :o Took me about two months after I bought the ukulele to sing and play at the same time. But this was a huge help! so amazed by what I've learnt in a couple of months. Thank you! About the chorus: the strumming pattern is in her other video - island strum (DDUUDU). The chords are in the chart she added with it as well (FFGG).
I think it would be helpful if you could show the chord changes on the screen because it is really hard to determine exactly where your fingers are pressing down on the strings. I'm a total beginner, but whenever I've been successful learning a song, it's because they showed the chords on screen as they were played. I do love your tutorials though and I learn so much from you. Thank you for having this channel and all the time and resources it takes to do it.

I love your teaching style! I have tried to play guitar for a long time. I own 3. But have never gotten past 'Horse With No Name' . I have very tiny hands. I thought the ukulele may be a better fit. Had some trouble with the chorus but after going through it several times I started to pick it up. I like it when you put the words and chords across the bottom of the screen.
