Normally they do sing acapella for most songs in their discography ( their beatboxer can also play cello and some of them play piano, so occasionally instruments are incorporated). In the case of this song, since it's on Masked Singer, where instruments are the norm, there are instruments...including percussion. Kevin Olusola normally does all their percussion/beatboxing, but because it would have been a dead giveaway, Kevin only sang. You really should check out some of their stuff. If they were more mainstream you'd get some LA Reid types trying to pigeonhole them into singing in a specific style. And we know that PTX loves to cross into many genres, so I think they'd be stifled creatively.

Even though they sing all types of covers and originals, rca really only puts effort into promoting their Christmas albums and events. Their last original album was so good but didn’t get the promotion it deserved. Both original albums could’ve been on the radio but rca only pushes their Christmas stuff for radio play.

Hands down, this has to be the best masked singer performance I've ever seen. It was absolutely phenomenal. Two of my favourite singers ever, (Tori Kelly and JoJo) have both performed on masked singer, but this performance just gave me goosebumps, really. Their talent is outstanding. Very close behind them is Leann Rimes with When the Party's Over. I still don't understand how they didn't win. They are much better singers than Medusa and the bird. (McCaw is it)?
@dirfrops Medusa is the artist who sang the song "River" but that's the only song of hers that is well known. Pentatonix is definitely better than Medusa, although I think Macaw is pretty close.
I get chills every time I listen to this! I am so glad PTX is getting the recognition they deserve and that more people can see how crazy talented these five are. I’ve been a long time fan of theirs and I am always blown away by their performances! Can’t wait to see what they do next!

A few years ago, Ken Jeong actually performed Creep on King of Masked Singer (the original version of The Masked Singer) so he definitely knows how difficult it is to sing those high register notes.
I have no idea who Medusa is, but I’m hoping Archuleta pulls in the win. He was robbed on American Idol. And his voice is such a tell. So unique. I knew from day one.
@@dirfrops Don't think Archuleta was robbed. He was still pretty young at the time and he wasn't always able to connect with the audience. He also did a poor rendition of Angels (although not nearly as bad as Jessica Simpson). David Cook was more secure in who he was and what he could do, and it tended to show in his performances and the arrangements. As an aside, did Cook kick off the WGWG Idol problem that seems to persist into the current version?

I believe it was planned for them to finish third. Look at the showcase the show gave them for a two-and-a-half minute song. They even got the credits out of the way quickly before they began (and a little when they started). Never would have had a chance to do the whole thing if they finished second or first. Just my thought. I mean, how many of us thought when the credits were rolling before they started, "they better not cut this off after 10 seconds!!!"? Just a thought
