UPDATE I have uploaded a NEW series of explanatory videos along with code and detailed instructions to drive Brushless motors, both in open and closed loop. Please check them out!
Im using an Arduino to control a brushless motor (used for gimballs), here it shows a position control loop with controlled torque (FOC?). The motor can move extremely slowly, and also fast, I have developed a sensored solution using the AS5048A magnetic sensor, used here as an absolute enconder for position feedback, enjoy!

And what after power loss? How does the calibration looks?

Brilliant! This is exactly what I've been looking for. How difficult would it be to modify your code to accept a PWM signal from an RC receiver to set the motor position? Thanks!

Hi, are you using 180-degree or 120-degree communication? I'm try to control my gimbal motor using 180-degree communication but it stutters at low speed.

Any chance you can tell us how you programmed this? Also is there a place to buy the breakout board for the L6234?

Hi, its quite straight forward, the Brushless motor connects to arduino through the L6234, then the AS5048A is connected also to arduino... the rest occurs in software, I might be able to document better this connections, give me a couple of weeks.

Very nice - could you provide the code? I need to complete a camera platform that could be controlled with this implementation - for my personal use only
