“Insurance is just a massive scam really” never have truer words been said my friend 😂😂👏 it’s actually crazy to think about the amount of money I’ve spent on insurance in ten years of driving and never once had an accident or needed to use them so got nothing back from it .
@@abdul-malikonasanya9975 bit late, but yes you need a special adapter (I got mine from Amazon). I also use an Alexa Auto, which I connect to the car via AUX. My phone can connect to the Alexa Auto using bluetooth, essentially meaning I have bluetooth now!
I had the 2012 model for almost 4 years as my second car. Unfortunately, where I live, we had only two engine\gearbox combinations: 1.2 75hp with manual gearbox. 1.6 110hp with automatic gearbox. Both of them were equipped with cruise control, original head unit (with AUX and control from the steering wheel), A\C is standard where I live on every car, front electric windows, electric mirrors, 6 air bags, ABS and ESP. I had the 1.2, it was pretty cheap here (the manual version was 7500 euro cheaper than the automatic), the car was comfortable and fuel efficient (5.5-5.9L/100KM) but painfully slow.
I definitely think something like a corsa is better for learning, I struggled learning on my 1.1l 2009 dynamique as it was difficult as a new driver understanding the way this cars clutch works compared to my sisters corsa which was just hold the clutch and you go, my clio was hold the clutch and go 0.1mph, rev up to 2000-3000rpm and you crawl which made pulling off at junctions a bit tense and scary as a new driver
Had 2010 Imusic for 13years. No problems with it. Engine died due to me not putting oil in a few weeks ago. Totally my fault. Would totally recommend this car to anyone. I paid about £240 a year insurance. Got 27yrs no claims. Just bought a 2017 corsa 1.4 and its £210 a year. I used to have a MR2 with £500 year insurance when i was 26yrs old, but insurance is a total scam these days.
I have a Clio just like this (mine is the I-Music Edition) although mine has only done less than 10,000 miles but it already has issues getting into second gear. Are you able to expand on your similar issue?
Great first car! I have the same one currently in my first year of driving, paid 1400 for 1st year insurance with a black box in this exact car but a 2012 version. The car isn’t fast but like you say it gets the job done and what more can you ask for from a first car except no problems 👍🏼
@@chloejena5158 Yea I think its completely up and down tbh. I was 20 when I got my first year, I've renewed my second year last October and I got it for 850 for the year with black box still.

Good review, i own a prefacelift extreme spec model which is more basic than yours but has the same engine, i bought mine in 2020 for just £650 which is the entry level price point for these cars as mine is an early low spec model with 140k miles but even my example has served me well overall with good reliability and low running costs, ive made 2 videos about it on my channel feel free to check them out, thanks!
My first car was a 94 clio. I liked it so much that for my second car i bought a 07 clio. Still drive it today, no issues, just regular maitenance.

@@jimdcars first year of driving I had a 1.2ltr corsa … cost me £2500 to insure and that was with a black box . The car was only worth £1500 😂😂🤷♂️

Don't worry, when you do finally need to make a claim they will do everything to ensure you still don't get anything out of it.
Had to give a like just for the evoque comment, had me creasing. Great video filmed very well and definitely hit the target audience well
I've got the 2010 Clio with a 1.5 diesel... love it! Getting 65 MPG and it's fun to drive.
how?😀
I just bought one. Does yours have Bluetooth. Also how does the aux work do you need a special cord or any aux will work?

Currently driving a 2010 Renault Clio Tom Tom dynamic and it’s doing me well owned for almost 2 years now. Even did my driving test in it and passed!

When I look at insurance it's around £3,500. First time driving
Use a VPN when looking at insurance quotes it’ll bring them right down
Better used compact car
Its one of my first cars, for city accualy you dont really need much for start, but if your doing long drives, its not the best option
Mine also has linkage problems. Good to know it's cheap to fix. Love my clio❤

I recently brought a 2007 1.2 Renault Clio as my first car, 2500 for insurance with black box, may be my age that factors in

getting a 1.2 turbo clio insurance coming out to 1.600 with a box 😭
very good price tbf if you're a first time driver
If i were to listen to music what would be my options? An aux cable, FM transmitter? Did you use any of them
You can connect via Bluetooth in this version with the tomtom satnav. But if you get one without it I’m not sure. There’s also an aux cable socket.
Unfortunately my one loves draining its battery. We've tried everything but at this point i just drive it and hope it survives the trip.
Is it fun to drive?
Anything’s fun to drive if you are a fun driver😉
just bought one of these my insurance is 2k😅
Can you give me any advice on the seat belt light flashing and beeping when driving on renault clio 62 plate please. This happens when seat belt is in
A sensor
What did you do to get the gear clitch fixed?
Thanks
Took it to a garage lmao can’t remember what the part was called sorry
No problem, thanks
