- An interpretation of John Paul Jones's elusive bassline. This song has so much going on other than the bass, but the bass that is played is very expertly crafted. I had a request to play this song and I finally felt I had learned it closely enough to make a vid. Thanks for watching!
John Paul Jones was brilliant.
I LOVE YOU JONESY, without u my music life makes no sense
Much of the bassline for 'Stairway' is done on keyboard, but it would definitly sound great on a bass guitar. The later half of the song does have a great 4-string bassline. Its a good idea, and I'll attempt it soon.
my favortie love song almost ever!
The pressure is on! I do look forward to making a bass cover to Stairway soon. I'll need some time, as now I'm currently recording with my band, but in time it will be done. Let me know if you have any other ideas for a good bass cover. I was thinking of doing Scince I've Been Loving You as well.
I’ve always said that JPJ was a master manipulator of the pentatonic scale. So many early Zeppelin tunes demonstrate this. Without him and his monumental contributions to this act, they would NOT have gained the altitude they did than without him. Thank you for posting this. I needed to see it as only hearing it isn’t enough. I need to see those licks.
Nice playing mate! Great job!
This song turned out to be a bit tricky, and I'm glad you liked it. I've previously done 'What Is and What Should Never Be'. Take a look at my channel. Feel free to make future requests. Thanks!
