There’s hardly any physicality allowed or else it’s a foul/flagrant foul. This era is weak soft like tissue, majority of these players would survive 80s-early 2000s basketball.
I don't think these refs know what true physicality is anymore anyways they always want to intervene and call something prematurely...the game can't even look messy or chaotic with guys diving and hustling all over the floor theyre gonna call phantom fouls somewhere just so they can intervene in the action.shoot guys can't even talk smack within ear shot of refs anymore....that's how much control the refs enforce
These people are unbelievable! That's absolutely all caps! The pace of play in the 60s was insane. Also the 80s were crazy. The players today are just flat out lazy!
You cookin'. You touched on something I literally just told my son. I just replaced 3 toilets and dropped a new kitchen sink in 1 day. I said, these cupcakes couldn't leave the court and do this. Let alone put on some gear and battle a fire in CA. So miss me with the plumber and firefighter diss. Try it! The majority of these cupcakes would quit after just taking the old toilet out! Yet, sit comfy behind a mic doing a podcast and dissing true grit and hustle.
I have to disagree only partially. But people today have to work multiple jobs just to make ends meet. Sometimes, both parents working multiple jobs. Back in the 50s 60s, even up to the late 80s, 1 income could possibly take care of a family. Today, that is not the case unless the family is affluent. For regular people, working class and low middle class, it is harder than it was for our parents. I think there is a little romanticizing of the past going on here.
Exactly 👍🏼 majority of people in today's sorry ass generation expect a hand out but don't want to work for it. I come from that generation, where u had to work hard to make it in life. Today's era, u could have sht given to u in a snap of a finger. It's pathetic.
Players didn't start flying PJs untill the 90s. 50's and 60's they were taking trains and buses while playing a back to back, imagine lets say the Lakers playing Toronto and the next night play the Pistons, while taking the train or bus to Detroit
These NBA players of today is soft as cotton just look at the injuries these players is having today the old school NBA players of the past is more tougher than these NBA players of today.
How does the person who claimed that not see that it doesn't make sense. Why would players need to use more energy on offense when players aren't playing defense?
Great video request by the viewer. Pure delusion to think that players today have it harder than players of the past. The players today should try to play in canvas Chuck Taylors 😂🤡
That argument actually came from a close friend of mine who I think just lacks historical perspective. He agreed with me when I said Kawhi Leonard is the best offensive option for his team when healthy, and when I asked him what the difference is between Kawhi Leonard and Devin Booker as far as giving effort on both ends, he essentially said Kawhi Leonard just has more energy. I’d say that’s quite the logical leap lol
Really, they play in better shoes, travel in chartered planes that is every team by the way. They stay in five star hotels eat the best food, well at least they are supposed to considering they have their own chef’s in personal trainers. The players back then played in “ Canvas” sneakers with no sole or ankle support. They also flew commercial with the common folk or even by train in bus. They didn’t have the benefit of personal trainers in chefs,in a lot of players with the exception of the elite had off season jobs. The players today are just spoiled entitled in lazy as well as delusional.
So true man you can rest on offense n give it to someone else who's hot but on defense you definitely cnt rest cuz you gon get cooked n allow a team to beat you
I think the word you can use to argue is 'Ingenuity'. A quality of being creative, imaginative, innovative, or original, and able to have critical and careful thought; intelligent. Imagine the margin of error that have to be extensively reviewed in the past when they were constructing all the structures we have in our cities without all the advanced technology we have today. I don't know if you've already made your thoughts on this, the TNT crew, Shaq, Ernie, Kenny, and Charles, made their comments on why Trae Young was "snubbed" or did not deserve to be an All-Star this year. I like to hear what you think what each of them said.
Yo robin. Maybe the problem could be testosterone as well? Low testosterone levels from the guys today that’s why they can’t compete with guys in the past?
Yo that’s a great point!! I was eluding to some of those types of things when I was mentioning how lazy we have gotten as a society and how people are always complaining about lack of energy. Everyone wants a shortcut to health and for a lot of guys they struggle with things like ED and it’s because we have gotten so lazy and don’t eat good. Thank you for the continued support!! 🤝🏾
That argument is so pathetic. First off this era is no where close to the fastest pace era of the 60s. And you could not only hand check back then but also double hand check as you mentioned!! Many of these dudes now dont know that you could double hand check back then. These guys come down the court in this era to just stand behind the three point line to heck up quick threes to get those high volume of three point shots up. They aren't moving off the ball nonstop like the warriors and their motion offense. All these teams just come down the court and stand behind the three waiting for the ball off a screen and roll. Barely any ball movement where cats are moving constantly off the ball...with no physical resistance!! And finesse style of play, fast pace or not, will never put more pounding on the body than you getting hammered physically and having constant physical resistance on you. You see these dudes casually being the ball up the court off the inbound with no pressure being put in the ball. Where the heck id the full court press? No more half court trap? Dudes got it easyyyyy in this era man. And the funny thing is when teams do apply a full court press, which rarely, guys be struggling to bring the ball up the court and can't keep their dribble. They are sooo used to not having to deal with defensive ball pressure off the rip that when they do face it it's like a shock to them. They get discombobulated.
@SportsAndFitnessRants I'm a big fan man keep doing your thing! Just wanted to fill you in on a free 24/7 NBA channel in Tubi's live TV section. It's kind of wack at first because they show that weak ass new shit, but if you have that on (cuz I don't watch it) they then show 80s, 90s, and 2000s gold. I just got finished watching the 98 all star game, and next the 1990 EC RD1 game 5 between the Knicks and Celtics bout to come on. Much love and respect from Texas.
Lol this player today, are delirious you have no idea what is to guard a person by the way it's called play defense something that guy's dont know s*** about
@@leedurham3144Now these LeBron fans care about wilt Chamberlain and what he had to say. I thought they were "plumbers" and "taxi cab drivers"? Those morons are weird! 🤣🤣
Chamberlain was regular season stat stuffer only, like yo boi Bron hahahaha fold his tent in the playoffs, like yo boi Bron hahahaha c'mon stavo u gotta be better than that boi
@sportsnfitnessrants I’m humbled that you would grant my request. Of course, you can talk about whatever you want, and you chose to speak on what I asked of you, so thank you!
Life is definitely not harder today than it was in the past not even close.
There’s hardly any physicality allowed or else it’s a foul/flagrant foul. This era is weak soft like tissue, majority of these players would survive 80s-early 2000s basketball.

If Dwight Howard is the last realistic big man in the NBA that would be the reason views are and will decline 😮

They have it easier today. Better training techniques , nutrition, and the games are not physical at all
This person needs to watch the Bulls vs Knicks late 80's and '90s now that' was as rough as it gets these no-knowledge comments need to stop
These NBA players of today is soft as cotton just look at the injuries these players is having today the old school NBA players of the past is more tougher than these NBA players of today.
That's why LeBron Curry Durant and the rest of them can play into there late thirty. But society has a very week mind set. Soft
Dudes don't know if they're guys, dudes don't know if it's okay to be a guy. LOL I'M DEAD 🤣
I’m telling you @twentygrand I can’t stand these “men” or whatever they are
One TNT OT view from AOH will debunk that offense narrative.
"Run more"? AOH was able to make an unnarrated, 21 minute video of Lebron standing around in a single game.
How does the person who claimed that not see that it doesn't make sense. Why would players need to use more energy on offense when players aren't playing defense?

You be spitting facts fr my man I be agreeing with at least 95% of what you be saying keep it up

That’s not even remotely debatable….there is no way any stupid person can say it’s more physically today than it was in the 70s-2003. Not even close
They have a diva mentality out there

🤔🤨🤫SOFT AS COTTONELLE 🤔🤨🤫
I agree
Harder physically 😂?? I would love to see Lecry face the bad boy pistons and get carried off the court getting knocked down with a stomach ache
IT IS HARDER TODAY!!!! Yup!!! It is!!! Do you know what it takes to Barge, Charge, Travel & Flop???
Here we go this bs narrative
Lol this player today, are delirious you have no idea what is to guard a person by the way it's called play defense something that guy's dont know s*** about
Wilt Chamberlain was 100% correct, in his 1997 interview with Conan O’Brien, “Michael Jordan wasn’t good enough to play in his era”
😂😂wilt was talking trash but he was a monster himself so he can talk as much trash as he wants
@@leedurham3144Now these LeBron fans care about wilt Chamberlain and what he had to say. I thought they were "plumbers" and "taxi cab drivers"? Those morons are weird! 🤣🤣
Delusional! Wilt couldn't even win more than 2 rings in that weak era
You trippin' do your research on the motor on Michael Jeffrey. He was a freak of nature and could be dropped in any era!
Chamberlain was regular season stat stuffer only, like yo boi Bron hahahaha fold his tent in the playoffs, like yo boi Bron hahahaha c'mon stavo u gotta be better than that boi
