Regarding the tunes objection, men such as Richard Baxter, John Gaskin, and Robert MacWard and others discuss the circumstantial nature of them. I have never understood how some regard it as an objection of gravity against EP. I believe it was the Quakers who made popular the objection against psalmody based on not knowing original Hebrew tunes. I guess when Paul charged Ephesus and Colosse to sing psalms, he should’ve shown them how it could only be done in Hebrew with Jewish tunes… 🤔
