We stay in a trailer, and there are days when we'd like to have the trailer windows open to get a cross-breeze but don't want all the dust blowing in. Taping disposable air-conditioner filters (like the kind that go in a home's central air system) over the window screens using painters tape is a great way to get some fresh air/ventilation without letting all the dust in. They're cheap at Home Depot, etc. (We just get the biggest ones and then cut them to size.) Also, bring a spare king-size sheet to lay over your bed when it's not in use-- that helps keep your bed clean. Yay! Thanks for your videos-- they're great even for veteran burners.
I'm building my own moving "house". I was thinking of a kind of double airlock at my entrance. Also, Hang some kind of curtain at my bed area & seal the sides of the curtain to the vehicle with something like velcro or magnet strips if there's metal. Btw, LOVE your videos. You are giving great advice & covering just about everything I need to know. Thank you & keep on keepin' on.
Seam sealer, available in most camping stores to re-seal after sewing on patches. Most modern tents have a rain fly anyway, especially those with a mesh roof.
Using lint rollers may also help get some dust off of your clothes and your bag. Try to find the reusable ones made out of silicone or fabric so that you don't have to worry about the sheets turning into moop.
Project Pterodactyl I've never tried it either for playa dust, but I've used them to clean all manner of craft supplies like loose jarred velvet, powders and glitter and it's amazing to see the mess disappear on almost any surface. Good luck. I hope it works for everyone's sake.
I looked through your videos, I don't think I saw something about how to de mesh? Been trying to find clear info on this to have a reversible system, all I can think of is am old bike cover cut up to cover the mesh and sew through the mesh + some spring clamps, and getting a tent with a vestibule too to help seal a lot from the start
