Thanks for the like/favorite and leaving a comment, guys. They really do help me out, and I'm always happy to hear from you all. :)
#ff7 #ff7r #reaction
Those ten minutes surpassed every other multi-hour press conference for me.
Tightly packed and full of enjoyment, giggidy
FF7 fans are strong. Presentation was great even as someone who didn't grow up with FF7
Same, ngl after the steam part and first soldier i was really scared but right now i could not be more happy
I'm honestly hoping for a LP for crisis core lol u never know they might change something to mix with the ff7 rebirth story...u know Nomura with his crazy "ideas"
come on! just play it on youtube, you never know it might be Intergrade and connect with Remake
Never seen anything related to Crisis Core before but don't make it a stream...
Zack: Heaven?
Aerith: Oh sorry wrong district, that’s over in the next one.
Zack: Ah thanks.
*Zack gets up and leaves*
if you are referencing to the seventh heaven, it doesn't exist at the time :)
It's amazing how a 30 sec clip of cloud & sephiroth walking is the most hype thing about summer games fest so far lol
Actually true LMAO
Nah FR cause like they known to be enemies and just seeing them walk together without murdering each other is funny to me
Can't wait to see the conga line of "Me? Gongaga!" videos in 4K.
Since Reunion is now used in the Crisis Core remaster, these are some guesses for the title of part 3:
FFVII Recollection - to follow the memory themes in the games. Also to represent all collectivity of FFVII lore
FFVII Rebuild - same nuance as remake, rebirth
FFVII Regenesis - same as above, but with Genesis because everyone loves him
Final Fantasy VII Reprise
@@alexandernickaboine4798 this pls
Gonna add in FFVII Remembrance as a suggestion
You mean Gakt and not Genesis aren't you
FFVII Revengeance
I've wanted a crisis core remake for years. And now not only are we getting it, but it's also in the graphics of ff7 remake.
The new voice actor will take getting used to
They at least changed his line of “As SOLDIER” back to the original
@@caitsith3.0 agreed. I love the old voice acter still but the biggest part i wanted back was that line honestly XD
As long as we get gongaga
@@KitSables I feel like he improved his "Boy oh boy, the price of freedom is steep" line compared to the end of remake.
Yeah…I feel like they could recast his VA tbh
Between FF16 next summer and Rebirth next winter, 2023 is going to be a BIG year for Square Enix. Like, I don’t think they could fit another AAA game into that year without potentially hurting the sales of the others
They really are cutting it close with just those. But the money they’ll make that year…. My god…
Crisis core reunion, 16, and REBIRTH HOLY SHIT!!!! 6 MONTHS BETWEEN DANK ASS RELEASES!!!
Square rly lookin to compete against nintendo for game of the year. Never have I seen a company pull itself out of the depths of hell to top tier status so effortlessly like square enix has. From the mediocrity of FF 15 and Avengers to the FF 7 remakes and now FF 16
Nico: *REBIRTH*
*available next winter*
Nico: NOOOOOOO
My love for the entire Final Fantasy franchise wouldn’t have been a part of me if I haven’t watched Nico’s entire Kingdom Hearts series Let’s Play and him geeking out when Cloud showed up in Olympus and also fought Sephiroth. So I wanna say thank you Nico, if it weren’t for you I probably would’ve never played any Final Fantasy game, more specifically Final Fantasy 7 original and Remake.
Personal Idea for the name for Part 3: Reversion. In which we finally defeat Sephiroth and revert all his changes back to the "correct" outcomes in order to fix history.
Thus leading to the idea that Sephiroth's plan is to "Remake" the world (Game 1), because of his plan we then experience a large number of anomalous "Rebirths" (People who are supposed to be dead coming back/surviving when they shouldn't. IE: Zack/Aerith) causing paradoxes (Game 2), and we ultimately decide the best way to save the planet is to "Revert" it back to the original history, even knowing the sacrifices that would ask the characters to make (Game 3).
Mate you mean end of humanity? All humans died after ff7.
@@sarthakarora3212 What? That's not true; Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus both happen after VII; humanity's _recovering_ from Meteorfall, but they survived
@@DavidHutchinson0713 correct me if im wrong, but i thought it was implied that they died ages after that, in the red XIII cutscene at the end of the game where he talks to his children or smthn.
@@TH1CCA That cutscene was set 500 years after Meteor was stopped, so understandably the rest of the heroes were long gone by then; they're only human, after all. And that cutscene only showed the Midgar ruins, and I believe it was meant to symbolize how the world has been, and will continue to, recover from the tragedies that had happened.
We got a lot of new content on the horizon for us! While I do have mixed feelings on the Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus villains, given how well they did on the characterization with FF7R, I’m confident they could add them to the new story in a good way.
Personally, I’m confident that if they can make Deepground and the Tsviets more interesting and integrate then into the story well, I think they can become interesting and engaging obstacles for the party in Rebirth or the final part.
They could also be used to help develop Vincent’s character along with Yuffie’s since he didn’t get much characterization in the original game since he was an optional party member as well. If they can add Weiss and Deepground without being stupid or contrived, I’m confident they could fix the issues Dirge of Cerberus had.
When Nico’s blowing raspberries, you know his brain’s exploding.
This was the NicoB direct lmao
At long last, Nico will experience Crisis Core and the Pachinko within
Activating Combat Mode!
Modulating Phase!!
I remember when FF VII came out, I was a teen at the time. While prior to this game, I did hear about 'JRPGs' but Chrono Trigger and then this game brought JRPGs to the forefront and made the genre popular here in the West. While I've never played any FF games, I do appreciate what the series has done for my fav genre of gaming.
So many great stories coming from the FFVII universe! I can't wait for CC Reunion and Rebirth, but also Ever Crisis. I need to know more about that younger Sephiroth!
I swear, every reaction I’ve seen, everyone’s default for the subtitles was set to German for whatever reason. 😂
Everyone was lost for a small amount of time. 🤣
The future is hype af for FF7. 💯
I'm sure you've been waiting a long time for this nico, we all have can't wait to see you play (BTW you helped me with xenoverse 2 as I was so lost and been avoiding playing it till your playthrough thanks NicoB!)
Thanks for the awesome reaction stream! This event was everything I could have hoped for!
Crisis Core Reunion comes this winter, so November or so. I'll be looking forward to that LP, but I doubt Nico will cry as much as he did with FFVII Remake.
Wouldn't mind if he does, being so emotionally open is one of the things I enjoy the most about Nico.
Winter is from December to March
@@Nexdex You do know not everyone lives in the US, right?
I'm just gonna take a speculation but I think crisis core is gonna be a remake with changes in the story like ff7 remake and it will end up where Zack ends up living at the end of the secret cutscene at the end of ff7 remake since they did say all these new ff7 projects are connected. But like I said just a speculation.
That would be an interesting way to tie things together. It would be cool if there's and epilogue section that would lead to certain events in Rebirth
That's actually probably what's going to happen. I never played any of the original games, but I think I remember hearing that Zack died in that scene with all the shinra dudes, but in the trailer we saw him and Cloud walking up to midgar. That means Reunion is probably going to be built off that alternate timeline we saw at the end of Remake.
If they really do that, they would destroy any semblance of meaning behind Zack’s sacrifice + its effect on Cloud and his character development. Just because it’s a “remake” doesn’t mean they get to be revisionist with existing stories and characters.
@@StarMiners0416 to lessen your concerns, Zack is dead in Remake, the meaning of his death is still there. The arbiters existed until that final fight, meaning the history of Remake is the same as the original game's. Reunion is probably going to be an alternate timeline, just like Remake was to the original. The story isn't being rewritten, we're seeing a different story with the same characters. Both exist and we may even see the timelines cross over as hinted at in the Rebirth trailer by Tifa (I think) talking about someone seeing her dead, and questioning if they thought she was an imposter .
Crisis Core looks awesome. Can’t wait to play it for the first time.
Sweet mother of pearl Final Fantasy fans will be feasting in 2023. FFXVI, Rebirth AND FFXIV 7.0?!?
Final Fantasy VII Remake
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Final Fantasy VII-
Nicob: REUNION
....REMIND.
Nicob: NOMURA!!!!
Since it said next winter that means it will release around summer of 24. I make that deduction since these types of AAA games have a guaranteed chance of being delayed. If it does release next winter I’ll consider that early.
I dont think they will call part 3 reunion when that's what they called the crisis core remake
I love how Nico starts of jokingly and then getting absolutely floored by the actual announcements
Only seeing the PS5 logo at the end for Rebirth was a little disappointing. Judging by Remake's timeline, Rebirth will probably be on Steam in 2025.
After xbox conference I kinda just fell asleep on events that happened afterwards. Didn’t know there was a FF one so now i’m struggling to find what else I missed. Having like 15 announcement events or whatever definitely is fatiguing to keep up with. Still worried if the next FF7R will end up good or not. Parts of R1 disappointed me and ended up with me rating it somewhere around a 8/10
Of course its gonna be good. Why the fuck wouldn’t it be?
Crisis Core already is called “Reunion”
Part 3 will have another name.
Yeah, your predications were spot on. Not surprising but pleasing.
Whoo whoo whoooo! I'm super hyped now too!! I'd be totally down with a full LP for Crisis Core - I've never been able to see the whole game, and with the skip function, it should be TIGHT! But if you choose to do it as a stream-only, that's cool too! Just please do upload the parts of it to YT so it doesn't get lost? (Pray emoji)
First PC mod better be Blocky Cloud and Tifa
I can't wait for more Trails titles to drop.
Final Fantasy VII:Return
I bought a PSP and Crisis Core and then they announced this, god damn it XD.
I just found out Crisis Core is getting a remake (such an awesome game!), and I can't tell you how ecstatically happy I am about it! It's about goddamn time! I now have a new game to pre-order!
"Disc 3" will be named restart/repair/return/repeat
Rebirth?!! Let's goooooooo!
This is just me, but I think the third FF7 remake part 3 might be revise or redux.
And again, this is just me, I'm most likely wrong anyways.
Is it weird I'm more syched for cc remake than part 2 remake? Lol
No its not cause i am too XD cc was my first into the 7 lore. I played maybe an hour of 7 when i was younger but didn't remember any of it. Played cc when it came out and i busted out crying when my boy died. I didn't know it was coming.
Same! Partially because I don't have a ps5 so I can't play ff7R but also because a Crisis Core remake has been long overdue
With Reunion taken don't think they will use that twice my bet is:
Remembrance.
Wouldn't it be crazy if at the end of CC Runion it showed Zak's stuff and about the church and we got to see what happened next.
---*An Analysis: How Square Enix is at a Unique Position in History, and How They can Either Make or Break it*---
With the release of FFVII 25th anniversary content and footage as shown by Square Enix, I started to ponder to myself in wonder regarding how Square Enix seems to be in such a unique moment in history in which no other company, in no other medium of story-telling, has ever been in (at least from what I am aware of).
I'm referring to the fact that Square Enix has the unique opportunity to correct their story-telling sins of their past, on top of succeeding on their new narrative direction, if they do it all correctly. But allow me to back up a little bit.
When FFVII Remake was announced way back in 2015, everybody was obviously excited over the idea that their beloved game was getting the treatment that every other remake gets: an overhaul in visuals, modernizing the gameplay, but leaving the story intact.
But lo' and behold, we were met with an idea and meaning of a remake that was very different from what fans anticipated. Rather than a 1 to 1 remake of the story, as we all now know, FFVIIR is in fact a sequel for all intents and purposes.
Met with mixed reception as far the story is concerned, many fans were (arguably) justifiably upset over the direction they went of doing a sequel rather than simply retelling the same story we are all familiar with and love.
And the crazy thing was, their reimagining of what a remake was for them, was to make a plot featuring alternate timelines, time travel, or something of this nature. Although the reality of what is exactly going on is still up in the air until we get clarity from Rebirth, what we do know is that the inclusion of Whispers definitely turns things on its head, and makes it a sequel, not a retelling of OG story.
Whether it's alternate timelines, time travel, etc, I find it fascinating that although Square Enix is not really known for strong storytelling, they decided to go a direction that not even AAA game studios like Rockstar or Naughty Dog, companies known for their top-tier writing and narrative, would probably ever dare go. Why? Because they understand how difficult and delicate it can be messing around with the timeline and details of a story, which can create major plotholes, extremely convoluted story, etc.
But then they released news of the upcoming game FFVII Ever Crisis, with the tagline, "Another Possibility for a Remake?", and it is in the true meaning of this statement I would argue rests so much of the fate of Compilation of FFVII. Although Square Enix only knows it's true meaning, I'd like to explore the only three possible interpretations I could see coming from this tagline, and my thoughts on how their direction they take as a result, rests the success of FFVII Compilation.
1st possible direction - 3rd timeline: first thing it could mean is that they will create yet another timeline that strays off in another direction, but I don't think they would be that stupid or reckless. They've been there, done that already with Remake, and to do a third timeline would take the possibility of plot holes, inconsistencies, and convolutedness to astronomical proportions. It would fail before it even started. So I doubt this is the direction they will go, but if they do, then God have mercy on their souls!
2nd possible direction: exact retelling of OG FFVII, and rest of Compilation: in the question of, "Another Possibility of a Remake?", could they perhaps mean giving us the remake we desired in the first place? it is in this they can fulfill the vision of fans everywhere, in giving a remake which fans desired this whole time, complete with the presentation they are familiar with, and updated graphics. It is in this that they can have not only fulfilled their own innovating and risky story-telling through their vision of what they wanted Remake to be, but also fulfill the vision of fans by delivering OG story through Ever Crisis, in which case it can be a win-win.
But is this really the best outcome?
3rd possibility: retelling of OG story and compilation... But with some revision for consistency and quality sake across compilation titles. This would be the best approach I think they could take. We all know the quality and consistency of story-telling across the different compilation titles vary quite wildly, with only OG FFVII and Crisis Core (to some degree) considered to have good story-telling. And we also know that, for better or worse, Square Enix had announced years ago that all of FFVII Compilation is considered canon, which means with all it's flaws and inconsistent level of writing and cringe characters included.
But who's to say that they mean the OG compilation? What if they are referring to Ever Crisis compilation? Could they be righting (by rewriting) their story-telling sins of their past by making the quality and details and characters strong and consistent throughout all the titles? Because it is only in this approach that FFVII Compilation can truly be successful. And with the inclusion of what is seemingly alternate timelines, it's all the more important that they make sure all the story details add up and there are few discrepancies and weak-writing as possible.
And as fans have noted, the likes of Weiss and Nero were already represented in a more respectable and less cringy manner in Remake Intergrade, so if they did that with them, it leaves open the possibility that they may revise the representation of certain other characters as well (*cough* Genesis *cough*).
So I believe Ever Crisis is a pivotal title that can make or break the success of FFVII Compilation as a whole, considering it comprises everything of Compilation outside of the 3 Remake parts. And they are in a very unique position because I don't know of any other franchise, in any other story-telling medium, where a company has given themselves the opportunity to retell their franchise's story, but with hindsight on what can work better and rewriting those aspects to equalize the level of writing across titles.
So which path will Square Enix take? Will they possibly cement FFVII Compilation in history as one of the strongest, most intriguing narratives in video game history? Or will they make "FFVII COMPLICATION", making it one of the most convoluted, poorly written narratives by introducing yet another timeline, and simultaneously failing to redress the sins of their past?
Only time will tell how this will all unfold and where the legacy of FFVII will be left. I wish them all the best
You spam this everywhere don't you
Cant wait until Nico streams/LPs a gacha game (Ever Crisis)
So I’m expecting part 3 of the remakes to be called Rewritten, since they’ve been putting emphasis on changing the future that’s been set out
This Video is also known as, teasers for future LP's
I think people are thing next winter to mean Holiday Season 2023, it COULD mean Jan-March 2024 aswell.
I think they said "next winter" to cover their arses and give them some wiggle room.
What I hope for rebirth’s winter release is that I hope they don’t just rush it out just to get those sweet winter sales, and that if they have to delay it then I really hope they do, because I’d rather have a complete full game not riddled with bugs than having it early. That said, if they can release it in winter then by all means I’m all for it, because I really want to play it but I also really want it to be good
I’m getting “no stream”….. whatever that means….
My speculation the the FF7R series would be 4 parts at a minimum is destroyed, plus the theming of the trailer, name Rebirth, and release date lead me to believe it will go up to and include Whirlwind Maze.
I do wonder if the third part will be Reunion, since they attached the name to Crisis Core.
I think CC Reunion might not be a one 1:1 remake. I’m calling it now, it’s gonna end with zack surviving the shinra ambush and lead into FF7 rebirth; it’ll then be apart of the “remake project” so part 3 will be called something different.
Part 3 will be called "Resurrection"
Ever Crisis is coming out soon: I sleep
Crisis Core Remake coming out this winter:
*REAL SHIT*
Calling it now: part 3 will be called Final Fantasy 7 Revival
So I'm curious about something I've never really played original ff 7 I've only played up to the bike mini game at end of Midgard if nicob does crisis core reunion as lp would it be OK to watch if it's same as crisis core or does crisis core kind of spoil things since crisis core is a prequel to ff7
Want to know if I should then watch a lp of ff7 i would watch nicobs modded version but I'm sure he never finished streaming it
Let's goooo!
I wounder cirses core reunion going be the orginal story or id going pull a ff7 remake on us, since they never mentioned ff7 was going have different story
Third game could be called revelation or redemption. It is likely going to be something with an r at the start, it will just be a question of what that r word is.
I'm calling it now. The third FFVIIR game will be subtitled Requiem.
What if the third titled is just a troll name like Recycled? XD
but am very excited with where the story is going
So many games, but I'm still holding out hope for a playthrough of Zelda, twilight princess HD and wind waker HD
My bet is on FF7: Renew for the final part of the trilogy. It would have been Reunion as well if Crisis Core didn’t use that already.
Last line is Zack
Funny Square Enix releasing Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII: Reunion on Switch.
They be like: "Don't worry guys, we got you! Here's a cloud version! :)"
oh god im now in fear
last one
Final Fantasy VII Revengeance
Bro this was so awesome
It’s gonna be called FFVII Revengeance
Im calling it now the third one is gonna be called final fantasy VII Revengeance
To think, all these years of begging Nico to play Crisis Core might actually see an end soon lol
You see this bandinamco? This is how you treat your game anniversaries. It foul how they don't do shit for their tales of anniversaries.
Welp, Nico...
We know what your channel is gonna look like for the next 2 years.
...I bought a PS4 just to play FF7 Remake. Looks like it's time to start saving for a PS5. :sigh:
Square is not holding back these next few years. FF7, FF16, KH4, and DQ12 all coming soon onevafter another.
Crisis core is one of my favorite games of all time, can’t wait
Emm... not at some point... that has already happened... but moving on.
Need Rick Gomez voice modded back into the PC version.
And George Newbern
TIME TO LEARN GERMAN NICOB
I'm calling it its gonna be remaster
Wow.... I can't stand Zack's new VA. The old one was so much better. That's disappointing, because I've been wanting a Crisis Core remake for years :(
Yet I bet you love and worship Tyler Hoechlin on the daily (Sephiroth's new VA)
@@Killer_Kris7 ......no? Not really?
@@KirbyChan then where's the god damn love for Newbern?
Okay, but Nico. If you play Crisis Core as a Let's Play (Or a stream that you upload) I will be the happiest Picky Penguin around. I love the hell out of that game and I've been burning to see you play it because Zack is my sweet baby boi and I NEED YOU TO LOVE HIM AS MUCH AS I DO.
OK OK, but what if, WHAT IF... Crisis Core Reuinion has a new ending? One that lines up with what we know from FF7R?
Do an LP of CC. Also something is gonna be different. Zack is supposed to be dead! Yet he survived that war! Also in the original game Génesis technically never died but he was never mentioned again in later FF7 anything! I was hoping Genesis would show up in the OG FF7R part 2. Since part 2 is the part of the remake where you have more freedom to roam the open world! Now that Zack survived we will learn how he survived and maybe what happened to him in this alternate timeline. We might even see him in part 2. So I think you should do an LP if you’re gonna LP all of FF7R
I hope they fix tifa's knockers this time and make her big again.
So kingdom hearts was created 6 years after the first final fantasy game
The first Final Fantasy game was released in 1987...
Do you accidently sound and act like maxdood or... ? Kind of gringe 😬
Bro, your comment is cringe. Also nico watches maxdood so it's probably some leaking mannerisms. He's acted like this for years tho.
It’s almost like they’re both major fans of 7, and fans being excited for something can act similar at times
Nomura is a clown and the day he retires and stops ruining every single series he touches will never come soon enough.
Yeah, ruining every series he touches, let's ignore the fact KH has been going strong for over 20 years 😂 But of course, the remake is truly awful! All those fans who're eager for part 2 must be wrong!
Nomura's the director, not one of the writers, you donkey. Kazushige Nojima, Motomu Torijama, Hirokai Iwaka and Sachie Hirano are the ones making the changes. Do your research before you make yourself look like a moron 🤡
I begrudgingly agree. Over the years it does feel like he's doing the same bs over and over to any project he gets put on... it's ruining whole IP identities
@@ShizukaZetsubou Yeah it's weird - almost like game developers have their own style or something 🤔
So obnoxious...
I don't think it'll be Reunion, Nico. It'll most likely be Requiem or some other Re-thing. Because Reunion is already taken by Crisis Core. :P
Also take what Nomura says with a grain of salt; He said the exact same thing about 'it's okay to start with Kingdom Hearts 3', and that is wrong. :P
Can't wait to be emotionally wrecked by Crisis Core once again. 🥲 For real tho, I'm super happy the game is getting a remake. Zack is my favourite video game character of all-time, so I'm beyond ecstatic. Been hoping for this since FFVII was first remade.
