I love seeing the wide range of evaluation of random cards by different pros. LSV takes Loyal Warhound 4th pick while Mengu think it's literally unplayable
Never heard of a gameplay stipulation draft before: You can’t attack, you must win through decking, etc. That’s some 5head shit right there. Would absolutely love to see LSV do some of those the next time vintage cube is around.
a great stipulation idea is "you must play every card you draft" which doesnt really effect the actual games, but makes the actual draft way more tricky
@@Mox_Normandy yup, i remember watching LSV play it and explain the importance of sequencing the lands correctly so you could cast Jace on 2, and then have mana up for either mantis rider or crackling doom on 3.
GRN/RNA Standard was actually pretty solid, ironically that was when I thought "hey maybe the play design team has this shit figured out"...little did I know.
Hexdrinker in cube reminds me of when I started playing standard against Pack Rat. You can get absolutely run over, but the cost is that opponent has to use their whole turn to fire it up. For sure not that oppressive in cube as 2012 standard tho lol
For the Metamorph/Omnath thing, think of it this way - Both Metamorph and Omnath are spacecraft that are entering Earth's atmosphere. While in freefall, Metamorph's computer can choose any living thing on the surface of the Earth to change its passengers to. Omnath isn't an option because it's not on Earth at the time too.
Hey luis! why dont you like picking gearhulk over linvala given force pitch, sneak, and a few spells to flash back? idk youre the pro, but it seemed good to me
Best SNES game is a more or less tie between DKC 2, Terranigma and Zombies ate my Neighbors. Yoshi's Island and Tetris Attack being at least A tier too. General best console of all time
You're not wrong, but imo the masterpieces are Zelda: A Link to the past and Super Metroid. Both have shaped their respective genres even until today. Crono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6 and Super Mario World are also obvious contenders
They usually upload these vids way later. B cube has been gone for like a week or two. Closest you’re gonna get is temur which is more like a legacy specified cube.
I love watching LSV draft vintage cube, but is it possible for him to not draft some kinda blue deck? Like I know blue is good, but I never see him draft mono-green stompy, burn, reanimator, or anything interesting like that. It’s usually a bunch of blue draw spells or some kind of U/W control.
Mostly mono green decks or burn decks just aren't actually interesting to draft, watch or play. But if you've never seen him on reanimator you might just be in for a treat: ua-cam.com/video/VH7Bf3SiTN0/v-deo.html
The deck ended up having only 7 blue cards, it was a mostly white Jeskai with a Sneak and Tell theme... Not exactly your run-of-the-mill blue cube deck, not to mention LSV usually drafts storm
LSV cube draft is like improv jazz. Brilliant artistry and no one knows where it's headed.
Best comment ever
Blue. The answer is always blue.
Totally agree
@@abcdefghijkl5408 even on the vid labeld LSV doesnt go blue he was green blue lol. one in like 50 you see a mono red out of nowhere to be fair.
Everything makes sense now. That’s the reason I’ve enjoyed his cubing!

Cup of coffee, bagel cream cheese, lsv vintage cube, great morning.
Inject the LSV cube content directly into my veins

You can! On gaby’s channel
He's done dozens of those.
@@andymion cool
That's basically the default stipulation of his brain. You can tell from the way he drafts (and plays), that attacking people isn't a consideration..

35:30 "when was standard fun the last time" 6 years ago, KTK/Theros block
I really enjoyed when magic origins came into that standard. Jeskai Black was one of my favorite decks of all time.

@@ElceePlaysCiv i think its because they had Garfield or some other competent designer onboard for that set
guilds of ravnica standard was a blast. having gates as a playable deck was such a good damn time

Pack Rat standard was all the way back in 2012?? *Instantly crumbles to dust*
I look forward to these so much lets gooo
I've been rewatching all of the old ones haha
the person in chat at 12:05 who said "I was thinking of bringing a Bonecrusher Giant brew " actually made me laugh out loud

31:20 I'm playing Reflector Mage on a Jeskai Winota Spirits decks I'm playing on Pioneer, he rocks
Was just looking at the channel like.... Aye when than new LSV coming out?
What an excellent and existing deck + draft. :)
The new channel fireball logo reminds me of crunchyroll lol
50:05 What software is this? Is there something like a digital map for dnd games?

manabase didn't allow 6 mana cards, also it's not the best torrential deck
I don’t know why you never take artifact ramp.
What is this battlegrounds game he keeps talking about it?
lol at the flame spill comment
Obligatory “Best content on YT” post.
Can anybody spell out the name of LSV's latenight bg streamer? I know Dog snd Sjow, but cant find the last one
WumboStyle
@@augdog2 thank you. Was trying "wombo" the entire time.
Most notable? Sir, Graz'zt is no Orcus!
Flame Spill seems so genuinely pathetic compared to the rest of the cube.
