I don't know how they did something like this, there are so much happening in the soundtrack, it's the perfect ambience for any D&D Campaign underground/Underdark. Those far echoes instilling both curiosity and carefulness, far moving sounds, and simply the droppings of water and the ... and the... chanting? who is singing? should we find the source? no this is foolish, we are going to get lost down there, are we already lost? Where am I? I'm SO using this for my future campaigns.
I would say more like Blackreach was inspired by the Underdark….. there’s been environment art for the Forgotten Realms since the 80’s and 90’s. But the comparison is there for sure (:
as they said, Underdark is a lot older than Blackreach. Black reach borrows a lot from Underdark descriptions, with giant mushrooms and such. But underground "Kingdoms" filled with danger are a sort of trope in literature, oldest i can think of is the home of the Morlocks (even think D&D made a version of them in the Quaggoth), but there might be a lot more the D&D Derro race i've heard is based on the Detrimental Robots (DeRo) from an short sci-fi story that i think took place underground

The Underdark part of BG3 is seriously athmospheric.
I can't wait to play the complete game.
The part at 30:43 gives me life, i can't for the life of me find the soundtrack it belongs to
Thanks for uploading this! I am in love with the bg3 Underdark! Sleeping to this tonight 😂
Thanks for this.
Phalar Aluve Might 🌟🌟🌟

I think creators of this place were inspired by Blackreach from Skyrim

No🤣 it’s the other way around

No other way around. BG3 was based off of DND which is a lot older than skyrim.
The underdark is older than Blackreach. Hell, the art book says it’s inspired by the deep ocean more than anything
