Please make a Crick Picks Podcast on the "WORST EVER" umpires in cricket history. It would be great if you took into account the controversies surrounding those umpires outside of the decisions they made in the cricket field as well, like how Steve Bucknor gave an infamous interview in 2006 and basically turned the tide against the adoption of DRS.

Footballing cricketers and cricketing footballers: Chris Balderstone "Balderstone made history on 15 September 1975 by taking part in a County Championship match and a Football League game on the same day.[8] Balderstone was 51 not out against Derbyshire at the end of day two of Leicestershire's match at Chesterfield. After close of play he changed into his football kit to play for Doncaster Rovers in an evening match 30 miles away (a 1-1 draw with Brentford). He then returned to Chesterfield the following morning to complete a century and take three wickets to help wrap up Leicestershire's first ever County Championship title." (wikipedia)
It seems this match was held in June 1963. According to their website, the trophy/check was not awarded after 1939 (when Walter Lawrence died) until 1966 (after his son, Guy, who’d stopped the award, died and his son-in-law Brian Thornton inherited the trophy in 1965 and restarted the award).
So no Walter Lawrence trophy or cheque in 1963 to compete for.
This happened in one of my school games
We were playing a game in tonbridge (not tonbridge wells)
And thanks to the a2, the m25 and the generally awful south London roads
Everyone except for me and my friend was late
I don’t like driving so got the train down from London Bridge
(You know it’s bad when thameslink is the punctual one)
Anyway cos it was just us two we agreed to bat first and open
My friend as a bowler got out quite early but they let him stay as a runner this time
2 more people turned up after driving separately from the bus and came in to bat
Just as our luck had it I was the only batter
About 15 overs into a 40 over game the coach finally showed up
My favourite part is the second guy to show up in the car wasn’t hit by traffic he lived down the road but was just late
